Seeking OB to Deliver on North Shore -- Need C-section

I am moving from Miami to Boston and need to find a wonderful OB to deliver my first baby. I need a C-Section and have been recommended to the OB/GYN Associates on the North Shore -- Dr. Coffey. Does anyone have experience with this group? This Doctor? Other stellar recommendations?

What can I do next?

I am a patient at this practice and really like Dr Coffey. I have not had a good experience though with Dr Justine Gelinas - very poor bedside manner.

I have lived on the north shore my whole life and have seen Dr. Coffey as well as many others in his practice. They are all wonderful. I have had both of my children by c-section and Dr. Heller from the same practice delivered both of them. I also see him for my yearly check-ups now that my childbirthing is over. I highly recommend anyone in the practice and hold both Dr. Coffey and Dr. Heller in high regard. Good luck. Feel free to email me with any other questions you have.

Dr. Coffey delivered my son, not a c section, but he was wonderful. I've been with this group for 10+ years, I've had great experience with them. Dr. Jones in this group is my doctor and I love her. Best of luck!!

Hi A.,
I had 2 C- Sections with Drs from that office. John Gelinas is my OB and I saw primarily him for all OB visits for both of my pregnancies. Unfortunately he did not deliver my first child as it was an unplanned C-section, but I booked my 2nd one with him for sure! HE is wonderful!! I really don't know Dr. Coffey, sorry to say, but in general I like the practice.
Good luck! Let me know when you move to the area. I'd be happy to meet you and help you get oriented to the area.

I am about to deliver through this group and have had a very good experience so far. If I could have my pick of any of the OBs at the practice to do my delivery, it would be tough, but I'd have to choose between Dr. Coffey, John Gelinas, and Dr. Heller. They are all excellent doctors, technically and in their communication abilities. The rest of the staff there are excellent as well.

Best to you,

I had my first with OB/GYN Assoc. and had a wonderful experience. All the Dr's are caring and answered all of our first-time parent questions. I had my son at Salem Hospital via planned C-Section and was happy with the experience.

I have heard the name and the practise I think has a good reputation. Not sure where you will be located in the boston area but I have always gone into Boston for my OB and delived at Brigham and Women's. It really is not that far and you are right where you need to be God forbid there are any unforseen issues. I use Dr. Rafik Mansour Boston Health Care for Women The office is a dump and you ALWAYS have to wait but he delivers all his patients' babies and has delivered my three!

Hi A., I had that group deliver both of my boys. Dr. Coffey delivered my 2nd and it was a great delivery and faster recovery. The whole group is great, I never had a problem with any of them. I highly recommend them to everyone who gets pregnant around here. Good luck with the move and the new baby!!
