Plaza Towers Obstetrics and Gynecology in Santa Monica. All of the doctors there are terrific, but I'd specifically recommend Dr. Aminah Bliss or Dr. Brucksh. Their number is ###-###-#### and they're on the corner of 20th and Arizona (connected to St. John's Hospital). Hope this helps!

Dr Olivia Crooks on 16th St in Santa Monica, across the street from Santa Monica - UCLA (very convenient) ###-###-####. She is caring and compassionate and always remembers everything you've told her. She not only delivered my two beautiful boys but also helped me through the multiple losses I experienced. She is happy to follow any birthing plan you put forward and when its not possible due to complications she makes sure you still get to control as much as possible. On a sideline note parking is easy and available on the street, which is always a plus when it comes to Dr offices on the westside. The last Mama I recommended her to was extremely impressed with her too and has now switched to seeing her. Good luck with your search

I would highly recommedn going to see Dr Paul Crane or Dr Anthony Chin (both in teh same practice) if you are looking for a MD. I saw Debbie Frank who is a certified nurse midwife for my care and birth and she is excellent. They are not your typical "medical" practice. They are in Beverly Hills off Crescent Ave. The MD's do births at Cedars and Debbie at UCLA. The number to the office is ###-###-####.

I love Dr. Sharon Winer located in Beverly Hills. I moved to Long Beach 6 years ago & used to commute to see her until I got pregnant & needed someone local. She's an excellent doctor!

My OB is great! Her name is Dr. Karen Morse..###-###-####. I just a baby which she delivered and she has been fantastic! Her office is by Cedars Sinai in Beverly Hills.

I LOVE my OB GYN. She's at Cedars: Dr. Ayanna Walden. She helped me through 2 miscarriages and then pre-and post-natal care after the birth of my daughter who is almost 4 months old. She is awesome.

The absolute best Ob/Gyn in West LA is Susan Cohen, MD, 8920 W Olympic Blvd., ###-###-####. She's very honest, very real, non-judgmental, extremely personable, caring....I could go on and on about her. She's very thorough, takes the time to answer all of your questions, gets to know you. Her office is beautiful. I've referred too many of my friends and colleagues to her, and they all rave about her as well. She once called me personally before office hours to say that she was delivering 2 babies and would not be able to keep her appt with me, and she apologized profusely. She then said she would come in on Sunday to see me for my (very routine) check-up! Even though I've moved away before she could deliver my baby, she's delivered many of my friends' babies. She doesn't just show up and catch and deliver like many OBs either. She checks up on you personally through the whole labor. Also, her office has free parking!! I'm considering making the over hour drive to see her again. I miss her terribly!

Dr. edward Sigall is the absolute best! ###-###-####. He delivered my children and is superb, an absolute gem. A great listener and a wonderful Dr.

A couple people mentioned David Kline in Century City - he is fantastic. I only saw him once, as I had a home birth and didn't need regular OB appts, but I felt very comfortable with him and trusted him right off. He is personable, and takes the time to listen to and answer all questions thoroughly. In general, I do not trust doctors and I certainly never saw myself seeing a male OB-GYN, but he is excellent.

I will also chime in on Dr. Susan Cohen ###-###-####) who has been suggested below. She is caring, supportive, smart and as I've learned through two c-sections, an excellent surgeon. She delivered my first child and I recently had twins. She was wonderful throughout my high risk pregnacy, which included home bed rest, hospital bed rest and a necessary 2-month early premature delivery. I have heard countless wonderful stories about her through my friends who also are patients. Good luck!

Dr. Christina Adberg is the best!! Her office is on Beverly Blvd. right next to Cedars. I went to her for about 5 yrs but I moved to long beach so had to find a new doc. I can't praise her enough!!

Dr. Nandini Verma,1807 Wilshire, 'c' ###-###-#### Really nice woman doctor, fantastic atmosphere with candles and soft music. I have not been there recently, as I have just been using my GP for ob/gyn issues, but I have fond recollections of Dr. Verma's care.

Dr. Toni Long in Santa Monica is awesome! She was my OB until we moved and I was so sad to leave her. She works out of St. John's Hospital and I can't say enough wonderful things about her. In fact, everyone in her practice is fabulous, you're sure to find someone you love there. Good Luck.

Her office is across the street from UCLA Santa Monica. Her name is Tristan Bickman.
Having lost our first baby she was very sensitive to my need to be reassured. She allowed me to come in every other week and have an ultra sound until I was out of my first trimester.
In fact, I had an ultra sound at every appointment.
She is super dedicated to her patients. I never feel rushed when I see her. She is also a doctor who plays it safe.
I continue to use her as my GYN. She is my favorite doctor and I've recommended her to many of friends.

I have a really good one for you. His name is Dr.David Kline and he's based in Century City. His phone # is ###-###-####. His address is 10309 Santa Monica Blvd., betweetn Beverly Glen & Avenue of the Stars. He delivered my first child, for whom he waited 24 hours in the hospital. Any other doctor would've pushed for a C-section. He trusts and respects the women he's in care of, even visited me in my room a day after. Used him again for my second child, only for exams and lab works since I gave birth at home with a midwife, which he fully supports. He lets you make your own decisions. He's based in Cedars Sinai. I really like my OB/Gyn. His name is Dr. Conwell Carter and his offices are up on Sunset near the old Hamburger Hamlet if you know where that is. He is a very patient doctor who explains things thoroughly and doesn't talk down to you. He has you come sit in his office fully clothed to talk through things and his staff is really great as well. although i see that she has already been suggested, i need to second dr. susan cohen in beverly hills. i had a nightmare pregnancy, on bedrest at home for a month and then on bedrest in the hospital for three months at cedars and i saw dr. cohen every single day while i was in the hospital. so i got to know her pretty well; and she was amazing - held my hand through it all. before i got pregnant, she was very cautious about women's health and then when i got pregnant, she was so knowledgeable about pregnancy. she has never had to look up and research any question i have ever asked her. and i have asked so many questions that it would make any doctor's head spin. she just knows everything in that wonderful head of hers. it floors me how just gets it. and the most cool thing about it is that she is just is a normal chick with an amazing amount of intelligence. tell her i said i hi if you go with her - she knows me pretty well. good luck!!

We live quite a ways from there but it was worth it - he delivers out of Cedars, and although practices traditional medicine, is open to catering to a less conventional way of doing things!

I very highly recommend David Kline (yes: K-L-I-N-E). After a couple of not so great experiences myself I found him almost 20 years ago. His practice is in West LA, right across from the Century City mall. Since your children are very young you may not be familiar with this reference ... but he is very "Marcus Welby". (A T.V. doctor from way back when) In other words, ethical, professional, knowledgeable, genuinely caring, patient, thorough, comforting, and not at all "icky". Also, great nursing and office staff.
