try a regular park and hire the p.e. teacher to make an obstacle coarse. p.e. is their favorite subject and they usually feel special having the teacher there and participating with them outside of school. it also adds an extra bond.
treasure hunt, karate lesson, crafts...

Hi R.-
I have attended a few parties at Pump it Up in Scottsdale. It is a place where they have all those blow up jumpies for kids. They also have a party room which is the best part because you don't have to do the clean up or decorate. Check it out. pumpitupparty.com.

This isn't in Scottsdale but I went to a 4 year old birthday party over the weekend at Amazing Jake's in Mesa. It was wonderful! There is something for every age group from lazer tag, bumper cars, games, tea cup rides, train rides, etc. and everything is indoors.

Hello!

At this time of year, check out the McCormick Railroad Park, http://www.therailroadpark.com/visitor.html
7301 E. Indian Bend Road
Scottsdale, AZ 85250

We were there a few weeks ago and it looks like lot of fun for that age group. They have the trains of course, several play grounds, a carousel and lots of space to run around. Apparently one can reserve the ramadas and have a bounce house delivered there as several were set up

I saw it on your comments already, but I would check out the McCormick Train Park, lots of fun, very nice.
