Seeking New Pediatrician and Nutritionists

I'm looking for a new Pediatrician in Troy/Oakland county area.

My daughter has been seeing the same Pediatrician for the past two years, and I'm not satisfied with the care shes receiving. I cant even get this Dr to do a lead test because she says, " Its to traumatic for the children and they wont like her." She doesn't even like to give immunizations and will have a front desk assistant who I don't believe is trained, do them for her. So I refused to allow her assistant to do it she makes me wait until she sees every other patient in the office before she will come in and administer the shot herself. If her and her assistant wont draw blood for a smile lead test then they shouldn't be giving any immunizations.
Shes been suffering with so many different illness for the past six months and each trip to the emergency room treated for dehydration and they say its just a virus.
I disagree because of how often its happening. At least three weekends out of the month shes vomiting all day even blood. After having test in the hospital no-one is still able to give me any answers. She has now lost 7 pounds just in 2 weeks but as long as she is in whatever scale they use of normal range everyone is saying "DON'T WORRY!" I think that's ridicules why would I wait until shes bellow the average or normal height and weight ratio to see whats wrong.
If anyone knows of a good Nutritionists and Pediatrician
and information would be appreciated.

I go to a great pediatrician after having my own bad pediatrician expereince. They are willing to go above and beyond to find the root cause for just about anything and are not afraid to send you to a specialist if necessary. The name of the office is Pediatric Healthcare. They are located on Mound road just south of 18 1/2 mile. The number is ###-###-####. Hope it works out!

Another vote for Pediatric Consultants of Troy located in Beaumont. The staff and doctors are all wonderful. Absolutely no complaints. They didn't hassle me one bit when I mentioned delaying/selective vaccinations for my daughter. Very knowledgable and understanding. I also never had a problem getting an appointment.

NE Pediatrics in Rochester Hills is excellent. They are at Rochester/Avon. All the docs/staff are great. They are affliated with troy-beaumont/critteton - if that makes a difference.

We haven't been anywhere else - the docs are always helpful and kind. When we started going, they had us rotate thru all the different docs, so he's been seen by all of them at least once. They are all great w/my son.

Dr. Anant Bhongaonker - www.healthination.com

He was ab-so-lute-ly wonderful for all four children, my friends kids and my daughter became his medical assistant when she graduated high school. (Vocational Tech-med assistant training) Daughter's now a nurse, still recommends "Dr. B." He's about as tall as the children and they L. him.

I understand your fustration and anger. My daughter was born with an etopic thyroid. Her thyroid didn't decend down her throat all the way and partially work. So she will have to take synthriod for the rest of her life. The hospital caught it within her first 24hrs of birth. She see's Dr. Schnurr in Rochester Hills, "North East Pediactrics"They are at Rochester/Avon. All the docs/staff are great. They are affliated with troy-beaumont/critteton . She also sees Dr.Peter Gerrits who is a specialist from "Royal Oak Beaumont", upon examination of Dr. Schnurr knowing he was the best in this field. He came in from Royal Oak immediately and checked her blood work and other test that were preformed. He deals with children in high risk areas. He is wounderful. He give's Victoria very good care. We do have to have her blood drawn now, once every six months. When she was smaller every couple of wks to months. He does not make you feel rushed or move to the next patient making you feel like cattle. He goes over all of her chart from being to present, EVERY time we go. He asks her questions and LISTENS TO HER.Even from very small. She is six now. He set my mind at ease now she is in the best care he can provide for HER, NOT me. The staff is very family feeling from day one.As I said we have had in in our life from the day she was born. I hope this may help you. Good Luck. Feel free to contact me.

Wow, I would be seeing someone else. My doctor is through Henry Ford Health Systems in Plymouth. His name is John Howard ###-###-####. I really like their health system--my 2 year old broke his arm and my dr took an x-ray and was able to call the ped radiologist (who was at Henry Ford downtown Detroit) and a ped orthapedic and e-mail them the x-ray while i was still at his office because he wanted both of their opinions.
He personally called me when my daughter was having stomach pains and wasn't eating to see if she had improved.

I hope your little one is feeling better soon.

Hello,
I have an 18 month old daughter and I take her to Dr. Maria Wozniak in Birmingham. The practice is actually called Dr. Jay Eastman and Maria Wozniak and Assiciates. I really like Dr. Wozniak. We are having some health problems with our daughter and Dr. Wozniak is very supportive and extremly thorough. However; if she ver questions anything, so is qiuck to refer you to a specialist for a second opinion which I really appreciate! She is located on 14 Mile rd. between Woodward and Coolidge. Hope that helps! From what you have said, it sounds like it is time to get a new pediatrician!

Hello L. E...I have a GREAT pediatrician that my children have been going to for years now. I am very pleased with him as well. I L. the entire office. They also have seperate waiting rooms for the sick/well kids.
They are also open on Saturday & Sundays for sick appointments only. I can call the same day and get my child in to see one of the doctors.
There are about 8 doctors to choose from. One is a husband/wife team. My kids pediatrician's name is Roger Siverstein. This doctor also has late appointments. He is affiliated with Medical Center Pediatrics. The office is located at 31600 Telegraph Road in Bingham Farms. The phone number is ###-###-####.
Let me know if this worked out for you. You will L. them.
Good luck!
