We have moved to St. Charles off of Rt31, north of 38 & south of 64.
I need to swich doctors for both my son & I. I am looking for a denist in the area for us both to go to. I am also looking for a pediatric doctors office that accepts ALL KIDS health insurance, thru the state. Lastly, I need a good OB GYN for myself.
Something close to home. Any input would be helpful. Apperciate it Mom's!

What can I do next?

Hi S.-
My recommendation is for Fox Valley Women's and Children's Healthcare partners. You'll have to call about the insurance, I have no idea. They are off Rt. 64, just west of Randall. There are 5 women OB's and 4 or so pediatricians. I swtiched to them last fall with my second pregnancy and delivered at Delnor. My baby now sees the pediatricians. We've seen 3 so far. I've liked all the doctors in this practice. It is very clean and brand new. Check out their website.

Good luck!

I highly recommend Fox Valley Women and Children's Health Partnership. They have both Ob/Gyn and Pedicatricians. I see Dr. Homan and absolutely love her, but use a different pediatrician for my daughters so I cannot report on them. The main office is in St. Charles on Rt. 64, just west of Randall Road.

I would highly recommend Dr. Kyle Pedersen of Dayspring Dentistry in St. Charles. We knew Kyle before we had any kids but now we drive all the way from the West Dundee area to him b/c he is sooo great with kids. He has a beautiful office only 1 minute from Charlestowne Mall. ###-###-####

My OB/GYN is Dr. John Carroll and I love him! I have endometriosis, went through a couple miscarriages prior to having my son, and am now pregnant with my daughter that is due in October. Dr. Carroll has helped us through all of this and my husband really likes him too. All of his staff is just as kind and personable as he is. He has offices in St. Charles, Carol Stream, and Naperville. You would have to ask about insurance. ###-###-####

I travel pretty far to see Dr. Carroll because my mom is a nurse in the mother/baby unit at Central DuPage so I wanted to have my babies there and he came highly recommended. It's great to always see the same doctor and not get shifted around like you do at some practices.

I'm afraid my son's pediatrician and dentist would be too far for you.

We really love Valley Family Medicine. We see Dr James Sanders there, but on occasion we have seen Dr. Calabria (he is a DO as well) and they are both very good listeners and give lots of options for treatment, as well as calling back ASAP when you have that middle of the night question!

Nurses and staff are all very kind and office hours are reasonable (open late on Wednesdays) and I've never had a question go unanswered!

Upstairs in the same building is 'Focus on Women' which has some of the best OBs in the state, as well as a CNM (certified nurse midwife.) All the doctors I listed use Delnor, which is by reputation a great hospital.

Our dentist is in Elgin, so maybe a little hike for you, but we use Beacon Hill Dental. They have fantastic hours, a kind staff, and an in-house orthodontist (he's in on Fridays) and they even have their home numbers on their cards!! On the first visit for kids, they show them around and let them touch the instruments, etc. The dentist has 4 kids of his own- 2 grown and 2 still very little- and is great with kids. They don't dress in scary gowns or anything and I'm pretty sure he doesn't wear a mask when just 'counting' their teeth.

I'm not sure which take ALL KIDS though, sorry!

Hope this helps!
M.
