Hi, I would like to find a musical program for my one-year old. My first daughter went to Old Town School of Folk Music for years in Chicago. We're looking for a similar format (acoustic guitar, actual instruments and singing) out here. Does anyone know of a place? Also, if I can find a place that offers weekend sessions I would be estatic! Old Town offered so many options on the weekends, and I miss that but it's just too far now that we've moved. Your recommendations are highly appreciated. We are in the Palos area. Thank you in advance.
Hi! I've heard that there are some music classes for tots at Moraine Valley Community College. I grew up in the area myself and I remember hearing about some classes years ago. It's worth a shot!

Old Town School of Folk Music offers Wiggleworms classes in Western Springs (near 55th street and Wolf Road) which I attend with my 16 month-old son. If Western Springs isn't too far for you to go, you should check out their website for more information.

I took both of my kids to Kindermusik. They both really enjoyed it, and learned a lot both about themselves and music. I have heard both good and bad things about Kindermusik in gerneal. (It depends on the teacher) We loved Miss Michelle. She teaches the class in Lockport. You can find them either through St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lockport (the class is held in the basement at that location, but the class is not secular in nature). Or on the Kindermusik website.
