Seeking Moms' Group or Mommy and Me Classes in Lakewood or Long Beach

I am a new mom of a 7 week old adorable little boy. I am looking for a moms' group or mommy and me class to meet other mothers and get support with breast feeding, child devleopment, going back to work, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions in the Lakewood, Long Beach or surrounding areas?

I loved Stroller Strides when I was on maternity leave. It's a daily fitness class designed for you to do with your baby/toddler. I loved the exercise, but also getting out of the house and having other moms to talk with during those early months. The group meets at Mother's Beach in Long Beach. You can find them via the Stroller Strides Web site. This wasn't a support group per se but I still recommend it!

We love gymboree and there is a class in Long Beach off Carson and Bellflower (By Long Beach City College). I swear it has saved my life! I love getting out of the house and being with other moms and my baby loves looking at all the other kids. We go 3 times a week! Go to the website and check it out. Good luck!

Good Morning .. I gave birth at Long Beach Memorial and there
was a support group for breastfeeding and also for
Moms to get together and talk about concerns. I never found the time to go, but I always saved the papers because it
was something I really wanted to do. If you go to their
web site Im sure you will find something or give them a call.
Good luck and congrats on your new baby. Enjoy every moment
