Seeking Moms' Group in Virginia Beach

My family and I just moved here this past Feb. We are currently not involved in a playgroup even though we did search for some but never found one that fit our time schedule or interests. I also have a 4 and almost 2 year old little girls. I would love to get to know you better and maybe meet up one day. We live near Lynnhaven mall. Good Luck!

Welcome to VA Beach! We moved here last March and although it is pretty crowded, there are tons of things to do with kids.

I belong to a MOM's Club that I really like. I have to say I haven't been the most active member, but the other moms are very welcoming and friendly.

Respond to this posting and I can send you my email address and the email address and phone number of the woman that could set you up as a new member. You are welcome to come to a monthly meeting (the next one is Jan. 5) and see what you think.

Try Meetup.com . There are lots of different groups you can join to meet other mothers with children your age. Also try joining your spouse's FRG. There are also Mommy & Me programs with the ASYMCA. Check out their site at ASYMCAHR.ORG (I think that's the site), they have a lot of free (or small priced) things for you to do and it will give you a chance to meet other moms.

If you'd like to know anything about the area, feel free to email me. I've been here about 5 yrs and Im a military wife and mother of 4. Hope you make the most of the area. Also, if you live in housing, definately get in touch with me. I can give you info about all the FREE stuff they do for people that live in housing.

go to yahoogroups.com and search mom playgroups in this area. i'm in two. christianmoms and hamptonroadsmodenmoms. hope you find one you like! the great thing about these groups on yahoo instead of saymeetup.com is that we can also chat online between playdates and we talk alot. so its nice to have adult conversation while at home too without having to go out.

Im on the other side of the water, but try Meetup.com. That is where Ive found 2 playgroups.

Have you gone to meetup.com yet? They have a lot of different mom's groups. You can search by area to find the one closest to you, or by interest to find a group of other moms that have the same interests as you. Good luck, and welcome to the area!!
