I'd love to meet other moms in the KMC area. We live in Glan-Münchweiler, but my husband is stationed at Ramstein.

What can I do next?

Hi C.,
My name is H. and I am SAHM of a 5 year old girl and a 3 year old boy. I know that there are quite a few playgroups on Ramstein. There is a new one on Wed from 10-12 at the Ramstein youth center's gym right next to the shoppette. We love to hit the zoo's, parks, pool and allot more when the weather is a little warmer. How long have you been here? We will be here till Oct 09. Take care!

There is a great group in the KMC for moms with young children. It is called Mom2Mom. It is a breastfeeding support group but really anyone that has young children can benefit as they do a variety of activities. They are in the process of changing leadership but I'm sure if you looked around you would see info regarding it. They meet 1-2 times per month. Good luck.

Also, there is a large scrapbooking group that meets once monthly for all day long crops on Saturdays. It is free. The contact person's email is ____@____.com email her and ask to be added to her list. Haven't been able to make it to one of these as my husband is TDY on weekend's a lot. But I know this is very popular and well attended.

C.,

There is a Mom to Mom mentoring group in the KMC that also sponsors playgroups and other get-togethers for mothers! In fact, tomorrow (12 March 08) they will be having a brunch at the Ramstein golf course restaurant starting at 0930. This will be my first time going (my other children are older, but I just had a new baby last month). The head of M2M is Diane Schlak. She is very nice and has planned some upcoming activities for spring that sound really fun. Let me know if you want her e-mail address.

Hope this helps!

Hi C. my name D. we have three children 11, 9 and almost 3. I am a SAHM and I have my own business. I have been looking for some ladies and their kids to meet up with for a playgroup. We have turned out garage into a nice play room. We have been here since July of 2004 we are not leaving til 2011. We moved on to Volg about 2 years ago, much better for the kids. Can't wait for the weather to change to spend more time outside.

Nive to meet you....I am a SAHM with a 4 year old girl and 15 mo old boy. My husband is stationed at ROB near Vogelweh and we live in a small village called Horbach (about 15 mins for Volgelweh and 20 for Ramstein). We have only been here for 4 months and I am also looking for new Moms to meet. We are going to be here until 2010. I also love to scrapbbok, but also like some of the other Moms have collected everything to do it and now just need to find the time:)

I have a 3yr old son and 9 month old daughter.
I am trying to get back into scrapbooking.
Sometimes I go to the playgroup at Kidz Zone on Thursdays at 10am.
I love to travel, and I enjoy reality TV although I keep that a secret. :)

Hi C.,
My husband is stationed at Ramstein, and we have lived here for a little over 6 months. We live in Kusel-not too far from you. I have 3 sons at home (ages 13 months, 3 and 5) and two school aged girls. I am experiencing some bothersome bronchitis this week and some runny noses :(----but maybe we can meet up at a playgroup or a park sometime when things settle down. I have to admit that I have not been to playgroups since I have been here. It's taking time to get involved (unusual for me).

I like to scrapbook, but have just become a "collector" lately-not much action.I don't have much experience with photoshop, but it looks fun.

We will be here until July 2010 :) Take care!

Hello C.,

I am M. and am the mother of Daniel Jr. We live in Hutschenhausen (spelling) and will be departing Germany soon. I am really going to miss Germany but all good things must come to an end. My son is a very active 2 year old and when we get back to the states I think that he and I will attend more play groups so that he gets the chance to spend around other children his age. My husband is stationed at LRMC. I cant wait till I have more time to play with photshop and scrapbook now I feel as if I have NO time for anything. I look forward to hearing from you.
