There is a mommy and me class on Wednesdays at 11:45-2:15 at the Burbank Adult School (If that's not to far for you). The class is $95 for 16 weeks!

Hi N.,
I live in West Hollywood and have a 6 months old boy and am also the first of our friends in LA to have a baby. This is my first baby and it can be hard to meet other moms--I agree, especially in WH. I've met a few moms through the West Hollywood Moms' Club. Look at the website--each city has their own and they have playgroups.
Let me know, D. R. :-)

Hi N.,
I live in Santa Monica. My second baby is due February, 3 days after my son's fifth birthday. So I'm soon to be a recycled new mom! It feels new all over again. I've learned a few things on this journey so far with my first sweetheart, and I'd love to share, compare notes, and get a fresh perspective. We live new the beach; feel free to email me and we could meet at a local park. I also know of a great pre-postnatal yoga class where babies are welcome!
Take care,
R.

There's a MOMS Club International chapter in West LA. Here's their website: http://www.geocities.com/momsclubwestla/index.html
There's one listed in West Hollywood, but the link isn't working right now.

Hi N.,

There is a West Hollywood Mom's group that meets at Plumber park monthly. I believe they are listed on-line or you could call plumber park and ask. There is also a Mommy and Me group that meets almost daily in and around West Hollywood. Once a week they meet at Plumber park, other days they meet in Park La Brea. I attended this mommy and me class for a while last year before my son started pre-school. Again, you could call Plumber park or Park La Brea for info.

Good luck with finding other stay at home moms to hang out with. My experience living here is that we are few and far between, but if you join a mother's group early on you might have an easier time meeting people than I did.

Be sure to head over to the Zimmer Museum. It's a great place and you will probably find some other stay at home moms there.
