Hi everyone, I am 23 and now 2 weeks late for my period, I know my body very well and don't feel like I am going to start at all. I have never missed my period before and I have not been under stress, I have taken 3 pregnancy tests and all negative. One was a First Response, but it too was negative. I feel like I am pregnant but I am terribly frustrated and just want to know. The only other time I have missed a period was when I was pregnant. What should I do.

My daughter who is 26 called me the other week and said "I haven't started my period for 2 weeks." "I'm afraid that I'm pregnant." I asked her if she still was taking her birth control pills, she said yes. I told her then she wasn't pregnant. Three days later she had her period. I don't know why but before and between children I had times in which my period was late.

Forget the tests nothing is better than seeing your doctor and get the work up from them. If you are not pregnant then they should be able to help figure out what is going on. Turst in the doctors and pray for the wisdom to do what is necessary.

The most reliable way to find out is through a blood test. If you need to know, just call your OB and request a blood test. My doctor doesn't require an appointment for blood tests. I can just go in between certain hours and get it done and they usually call back the next business day with the results. Of course, you will need to call your office and find out if they require appointments or not.

Good luck!

Well, two things you can do. Get a blood test from the doc or just wait it out. I usually could figure out I was pregnant between 6 and 9 weeks pregnant. I know that's a long way to wait, but why not call your doctor and see if they will do a blood test for you?

I haven't read any of the other responses so I apologize if this is redundant. Make sure you're taking the home pregnancy test first thing in the morning. That's when the hormone it looks for is at it's strongest point. Taking it later in the day could mean it's diluted and could produce a negative result when you are, in fact, pregnant. If you have already taken them first thing in the morning and they've come back negative, I'd call your doctor. Have them do a blood pregnancy test...it's the only way to truly know. Good luck!

I think it would be best to go to your doc. A urine or blood test will tell you for sure.

There are so many times that pregnancy tests do not give the right readings for whatever reason - I think something to do with hormone levels. Did you go to the doctor? They can do a blood test to verify. Please don't get frustrated; take it to the next level. All the best.

Check the package to see how long into your cycle you are supposed to wait to take the test. The pregnancy tests out now are very accurate and rarely wrong. Call your doctor and see if you should give it more time before another home test or if you should go in and see. No sense in worrying yourself until you know for sure. Good luck. : )
