Seeking Mommy & Me Groups...

The local community centers always offer fun classes, like music and baby signs. I also have a store and community space, Belly Sprout, in Fullerton and we have Baby Signs on Thursday mornings and a free Mommy and Me gathering of mamas with their babies on Fridays from 12-1p.m. It's a great way to connect with other mamas! We also have tons of workshops and events. Once a month we do something called Mommy Mingles; New Mama Luncheon from 12-1:30p.m. and you get a catered lunch and guest speaker. I belonged to a MOMS Club in San Jose where I used to live from the time my daughter was 2 months old, and when we moved here, I joined this chapter right away because I didn't know anyone here. I've made some wonderful friends for my children and myself. Hope you find a great group, or can come be a part of ours! ;)

I was a member of MOPS at First Christian Church; however, it was more a time for just mom (socializing with other moms and learning about different topics from guest speakers) while baby got to socialize with the other kids. I also looked into meetup.com

Try the City of Long Beach Parks and Rec department, on-line or they have a booklet. They have really awesome classes for all ages, and I've enjoyed taking my kids since they were very young. Also gymboree.

Hi J., congratulations on your new baby. Where are you located? You can look for some great moms groups at www.meetup.com Or you could also find your local MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group. I just joined one that meets in Costa Mesa and it is so much fun and enriching.
