Professional moms at home is a wonderful gropu for SAHMs. They have playgroups, activities, and great ways to meet other moms that have elected to stay home with their children. The group was a life saver for me when I had my children. Their website is www.professionalmomsathome.org.

The name is a little deceiving because there are plenty of subgroups for other communities as well.

Anne Arundel County Moms is a free group in Anne Arundel county. They have a MSN group online, so go to http://groups.msn.com/AnneArundelCountyMoms/general.msnw?... and apply. One of the admins of the group will contact you, and once you have attended a playgroup or function, you'll be in! (they do that to make sure you are a real mom)
