Seeking Mom's Group in Bloomfield NJ Area

I belong to the Essex and Passaic Playgroup too, and it's wonderful. There are several boys in the group that are your son's age. Mine is 17 months old and I live in Bloomfield - would love to meet you and your son! The group is very diverse, with over 100 members, and in addition to the many activities for kids, there are also many mom's night out events, and the message board is invaluable for getting advice/ recommendations on anything and everything. I literally do not think I could survive motherhood without this group!

Not a moms' group exactly, but when my son was little (he is 4 now), I met some nice moms with children the same age at the Family Y in Montclair (on Glen Ridge Ave. near the post office). Overall I also found it difficult to find other mom friends, so a group is a nice idea.

You might also find other like-minded moms at the library programs in Bloomfield and Montclair (although I think they don't run them in the summer).

Also, I think the best playground in the area to meet other families is Verona Park.

Yes! I have the perfect group for you. It is called the Essex and Passaic Parents/Playgroup. You can join through meetup.com. There are all sorts of get togethers including park playdates, outings to local events and parties during various holidays. Once you sign up, you can introduce yourself to the group and begin receiving email notifications of the various activities. I LOVE it and have met some absolutely wonderful people. I'm a teacher so I'm glad summer is approaching and I will be able to be more active in the group.
