Seeking Midwife in Provo Area

I am 5 weeks pregnant and looking for a midwife in the Provo area. I don't want to go natural, I just want a better experience than I had with my first child and heard midwifery is the way to go.

What can I do next?

Catherine O'Bryant, she is in Payson. My sister in-law had her with her last 3 children and she loved her. My sister in-law delivered her last 3 at home with Cathy. She really did love her a lot. Her number is ###-###-####. I went to Mount Timp Women's Center and saw Dr. WIlliam Parker whom I love. But in his office he shares it with about 7 midwives and several of my friends go to them and love them. Their number is ###-###-####. I'm not sure if you are looking for a home birh or hospital. Dr. Parker's office provides midwives to deliver in hospital and Cathy O'Bryant delivers at home and her website is homebirthinfo.com. Good luck!!!

Try Better Birth LLC in South Orem. They are right behind the Good Earth in Orem at about State St & 400 South. I used a student midwife for like half the price and I was VERY PLEASED! Here is there phone # ###-###-####.

If you are planning on using medication, that will mean you will need to be at a hospital. Only Nurse midwives are at hospitals not regular midwives. If this is the route you want to go(and I think if you are having a hospital birth, a CNM is going to give you the best experience) I would highly reccommend the Timpanogos Nurse Midwife group. They are located in American Fork and you would rotate between @5 different CNMs but as a doula, I have worked with a few of them at births and I thought they were great. They also have back-up Dr.s in their practice as well for emergencies or whatever. Their # is ###-###-####. I do not reccommend the Orem CNMs as I have heard more bad stories. Give them a call and enjoy your pregnancy!

DO NOT go to New Beginnings in Orem. I used the Mt. Timp group for my first four babies, then switched to to the Orem group for baby #5 because I thought that they would be more personalized since they were a smaller practice. They were horrible! Not a true midwife experience at all. I'm using a homebirth midwife from Better Birth for this baby (#6!), and so far I am LOVING the experience, but it sounds like that's not what you're looking for. So if I were you, I would go to the Mt. Timp midwives.
****Edited because I meant to NOT recommend New Beginnings, but Better Birth is wonderful.
