Seeking Local Produce/Farmers Market

Flint is sort of a hike for you but it's well worth the drive to the farmers market there. It's open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for sure. I believe they are also open Sundays during the summer. They sell just about everything. There is a bakery and meat counter as well as a wine shop and fresh flowers. Then of course, stands with veggies and fruit.
In August, Fenton has a pretty good farmers market on I think Thursdays from like 4-8. That is only in August though.
There is also Long's which is in Commerce Twp. They sell what ever is being harvested at a stand on Bogie Lake Rd.. Here is a link to their web site.

There is a farmers market on the corner of Pontiac Lk Rd and Summit Drive (by Summit place Mall) it is open (I believe) Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 7am....if you drive by it their is a sign that will tell you the hours and days but I think that is right....

You could also look for a CSA (community supported agriculture) that delivers in your area. I belong to Maple Creek Farm CSA and get a box of FRESH, organic veggies (and occasional fruit) that I pick up from a volunteer member's home once a week for 20 weeks. Our season starts next week. It has gotten me to try things that I never might have eaten otherwise.
