Seeking Info About a Particular OB GYN in the Woodlands.

Does anyone know anything about Dr. Marra Francis in the Woodlands? She is the doctor who was on call and performed my emergency c-section. I was thinking about switching to her because I do not love my doctor. But I do not know much about her other than she was wonderful to me and our family the night my son was born.

What can I do next?

I love Dr. Francis! She's been by OB GYN for 3 or 4 years now. She came to me highly recommended and I recommend her to everyone who asks. She delivered my daughter, who is now almost 2. She has a wonderful bedside manner and is extremely personable. She even went out of her way to make my husband feel comfortable when he came to my prenatal appointments. She's one of those people that makes you feel like she's your best friend and you're her only priority whenever you see her. I really really like her and I highly recommend her!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr. Francis. She is amazing. Probably the most normal doc I have ever met. She made us feel so comfortable. I found her because one morning very early in my first pregnancy I had a question. I was put at ease by her, and she made me feel so comfortable. I wish I would have switched then, but as soon as I delivered I went to her. Even my mom liked her so much she went and bought her flowers when I delivered to thank her. She actually came to the hospital when I had my baby a few weeks ago, and sat on the edge of the bed and held my feet up and counted to ten while I pushed!!! My last doc showed up to catch and was on his way! Even her partner in the office was nice to me when I had a UTI during my pregnancy and dr Francis was out. Switch before she is not taking patients!! I started going to her when she first moved here almost 3 years ago, and I was the only one waiting for her. She had no patients at the time...or very few. Now people line up for her. Do not get mad if you have to wait a while(20-30mins or so) at an appt. She wants to take her time with you. This is important. She makes you feel like you are the only one in the office when she is with you.

I do not know about her, BUT my doctor is Dr. Williams out of St. Lukes at 242. He did my c- section on my 3 month old. I LOVE him! He also delivered my best friends 1 year old. I had an ectopic pregnancy in december last year, and it was close to rupturing and to make a long story short, he found it in time and saved my life! He is very honest and will not feed you a line of bull- which many times is what we need! He is the best! (oh, my c-section scar is minimal compared to many of my girlfriends who had c-sections!)

Good luck!

My husband works with her and speaks highly of her. You already have a relationship with her and you are comfortable with which is more than you have currently. I would change to a known rather than unknown, but that is just my thought.

I just went to Dr. Frances last month and really like her. She took the time to read through all my paperwork before my visit and brought some concerns to me that I was not aware of. I like her bedside manners and personality. She came high recommended to me by several people. I like her and will continue to see her!
