Seeking Infant Play Group in N or NW Austin

I am looking for a playgroup for my 3 1/2 month old daughter in N or NW Austin. I have been to meetup.com and all the groups are either closed or for moms who had their babies in 2006 or 2007. I am currently a stay at home mom and would love to get out and meet other new moms. Does anyone out there know of a group that is accepting 2008 babies?

What can I do next?

If you join cafemom.com, it's a social network site like facebook but for moms, you can join groups there. There are local ones as well as cyber groups.

Hi E.,
I am a stay at home mom with a 5 1/5 month old in northwest Austin. I have been looking for a group as well but none have responded to me. I am an attorney and was in public policy before staying home to take care of our son. Feel free to email me and perhaps we can get together and start a new group! ____@____.com

On meetup.com, Try Awesome Austin Moms, They have moms in Round Rock, Pfugerville, Cedar Park, Leander and N. Austin. Most of the babies were born late 2007 to now.

Hi E.,

I am a part of the Meetup group that is for SAHM with babies born 2006-2007. I have been to several events lately and they are accepting new members with babies born in 08, I am just not sure how many have joined thus far given the description on Meetup. I will say that this is a FANTASTIC group!!!!! They have tons of activities, anything from kids stuff, to educational, to MNO. This group was a true lifesaver for me when my daughter was 3 months--she is now almost a year. I have made some wonderful friends that I do things with outside of the group activities and my daughter now has a core group of kiddos she plays with! My advice is to try to join and get really involved--you will be pleasantly surprised!!

You should check out your local MOMS club. Most cities have them. Just google MOMS club.

Hi E.
I am a member of NAMC. They have playgroups for infants up to Kindergarten. It is a fantastic club with monthly meetings, arts and crafts, field trips, mothers night out, 2 mom retreats per year and more.

Playgroups are organized by size and birth year. They range from children born in 2003 to children born in 2008. So you should always have a playgroup available.

I have been a member since '04 and love it.

You can check it out at: http://www.northaustinmothersclub.org/

Look forward to meeting you. There is a meeting coming up this week on Thursday. If you feel like coming let us know.

Hi there,
I have a playgroup that accepts new babies and new mommas:). We have a wide age of babies/tots in our group. (so far from 5 months to 19 months) Are group has moms in their late twentys early thirties. (if that matters:) We meet at parks, or at a home. Lately it's been so hot we have not done the parks unless there is water:) Our group is a pretty relaxed bunch no issues:) We all are an open minded bunch that enjoy new motherhood. I live in RR and have a photography business. My son is the oldest in the group and is very gentle with the babies. If this playgroup doesn't fit what your looking there is a website called playgroupusa that can help:)

Good luck
