Seeking Infant Music Classes

I am looking to sign up my 6mo. old daughter in an infant music class somewhere around Des Moines, WA. Anyone heard of something like this for children this young? I would also like any information on local classes for swimming, dancing, and gymnastics if you have any. Once she gets older I definitely want her to try dancing and gymnastics. Thanks!

Really, the best thing for babies that young is having Mom and Dad singing songs and reading books to her --a lot. It's a terrific time to bond, find favorite songs and books, and it's also very helpful for setting naptime/bedtime routines.

When a child is about 3 or 4 years old is when they can really use music training such as "Let's Play Music". It is more helpful, though, if their home has already been filled with music and if their parents sing to them, so that they have already learned how to sing on pitch. Currently the only teacher for Let's Play Music is E. Porter in Bellevue, WA <http://www.letsplaymusicsite.com/parents/find-a-teacher>
She might have other referrals for you, though.

Singing and reading with your child will accomplish a lot. Good luck and enjoy!

We did Kindermusic at that age and loved it. We are going back this fall into the next age group....
Their website will guide you to a location near your home.

If you search for Kindermusik and Music Together classes, you'll see what's in the area. Both are great classes!!
For swimming, we've enjoyed Waterbabies.

King County pools used to have infant swim lessons, but with the budget cut backs who knows. You could try private lessons with one of the private gyms.
