Seeking in Home Daycare for After Hours and When She Is Ill

Seeking In Home Daycare for after hours and when she is ill. I need a good safe in home daycare that would be able to take care of her when she is sick. I also need someone that is able to maybe pick her up from daycare and watch her after 630 p.m. and some weekend.

What can I do next?

I doubt you'll find anyone who is willing to watch a sick child. It isn't safe for the other kids or the caretaker. Wow, that is a lot of hours in daycare. Maybe a friend?
Good luck-- I know it is hard being a single mom.

Hello, boy that's hard, I owned a in home day care, and one of the policies, is no sick kids, just remember, when the kid is sick needs mami really bad. Have you tried a nanny at your home?. good luck!!!!

L.,
Well, a licensed or registered in-home childcare does not accept sick children, like the centers. There are centers that are specialized in sick children care, but I do not recall their names, sorry.

I too have searched all over for sick child care. The only thing I managed to find is
Coughs and Cuddles at Presbyterian hospitals.

I have never used it although it's in the back of my mind, the rates are also not too bad.

You might want to look into full time private home care, perhaps someone that will watch your daughter only with no other kids? That would be best for times when she's sick. I had an acquaintance that did this for me for a while when my daughter was tiny, but she's full time with another family now. That would probably also you be the most flexible for you from the hours perspective. Good luck, do let us know what you find out!
