Are you looking for a private school in Philadelphia? Germantown Friends has an excellent reputation.

The inquirer does an annual evaluation of all the High Schools in the area. You should contact them. I can't remember what month it comes out but it is very comprehensive. I used it this year for my son who starts high school in September and it was very informative.

Hello P.!
I always send my clients to www.schoolmatters.com You can find out anything about schools there. Wonderful site.
Good luck!

I would speak with her counsler at school. My daughter is 14 as well and her counsler meet with everyone in her class individually to inform them of which schools they were accepted to. We decided her first choice would be The High School Of The Future but she did not get accepted because it's not our neigborhood school as only has a 25 % lottery pick.

I would start with the her school counsler and take it from there. If you don't find resolution there, I would contact the schools she applied to and find out if she was accepted. But you should have received a letter from her counsler. The letter would have a list of schools she was accepted to and you would need to pick which school you decide on and return it to the counsler.

This determines if she goes to the school of your choice. If not, her records will go to and she will be enrolled in your neighborhood school.

I am in Southwest phildelphia and my daughter goes to Pepper Middle School. She will be attending Motivation High School.
