We are seeking a caring loving doctor for our 10 yr old dog. The clinic we currently go to has a huge turnover rate for their staff and they just don't seem to really care.

What can I do next?

Hi L.,

We use Dr. Hanks at Hanks Hospital off of 15th st in Plano. We cannot say enough wonderful things about her. She is the best! and is very reasonable. Majority of the time if some type of meds or testing is required she will not charge for an office visit she will just charge for the meds, etc.

She's great, good luck!

L., I agree with Toni about Dr. Sharp. He is kind and gentle; when we first moved to Plano I found myself wishing he could be MY doctor, too!

I can't say enough great things about our vet - Dr. Andrea Komkov at the North Plano Animal Hospital. We just had to put our 13 year old dog to sleep - and they handled it so well - I had no idea what to expect - it was so respectful that is did make it a tad bit easier (if that's possible). Our dog had some chronic problems (allergies, thyroid, then diabetes and pancreatitis) so we were there a lot and the whole staff is great - but Dr. Komkov is out favorite. She always did what she could do help us keep our costs down (our dog got pretty pricey the last couple of years) but made sure she was getting the best care. Their # is ###-###-#### and they are at Legacy and Independence.

VCA Preston Park Animal Hospital - Dr. Bill Riley

He is the BEST! We drive all the way from 380 to him because we love him so much. One of our dogs has some sever medical problems and him and his staff were able to figure out what was wrong with him and get him the treatment that he needs to save his life (that was 5 years ago) and he has been taking care of him ever since.

Best of luck!

Hi, we have two furry babies (cats) and have dealt with problems finding a caring vet in the past. We have found a vet, finally, that we are VERY happy with, they are off of Custer Road in Mckinney, maybe close to you, it is Meadow Brook Veterinary Clinic. Dr. Chastain and his staff are highly recommended!

Hope this helps!!!

We use Patrick Paine, The Shepherd's Mobile Veterinary Service. He comes to our home in his Mobile Clinic and treats all our animals (we have 3 dogs and a cat). He is great with our animals and it is so nice for them that they don't have to leave our home! His number is ###-###-#### or ###-###-####.

We go to High Point Animal Clinic in Plano on the SW corner of Alma/Spring Creek. ###-###-####

I met Dr. Staph and his staff when we moved here from NC in 1990. We love this practice. There are a lot of staff members there who have been with him since before we even started going there.

They are very caring. We've had to put down 2 dogs and then our bunny died. I can't say enough good things about them.

Dr. Bobo (yes, that's his name) in Frisco. Well worth the drive for your "baby." He's soft-spoken, caring, loving with animals and works with the Humane society to find lost/abandoned/injured animals a safe, warm, loving home.
