Seeking Good PreK School near Lake Dallas

Son Shine School at the Church of Christ in Lake Dallas is really good...small school, really nice teachers & you can get discounted tuition for volunteering 6 days out of the year. They are registering right now for the fall, so you'll want to call them soon. ###-###-####. My daughter went there a few years ago and my son goes there now & he loves it!

I highly recommend DKH Academy in Highland Village (Lewisville area). I know the owner and some teachers there and happy teachers equal happy students. They have an amazing curriculum, home-like atmosphere, and are expanding now, making their previously very exclusive waiting list a non-issue for this coming school year. the classes start with 18-month-olds.

They are NAEYC accredited, which is rare in the area. I used to teach preschool for 7 years and my degree is in Child Development and Family Studies.

Needless to say, I am very picky and this is the best school in the area!

If you haven't already checked, First Baptist Church of Corinth has a Kids Day Out program that is T/TH 9:00-2:00. We have already had registration for the coming year so not sure if there are any spots still available but I would check ASAP if you are interested. I am a member of the church and have one of my children in the program - both will be in the coming year. It is very well run - you will not find a better program and it's right in your back yard! The church is located on Meadowview Drive right next to Lake Dallas High School.

Check out CT Kids Preschool at Cross Timbers Church in Denton. My girls go Mon and Wed from 9-1. We love it!

Check out Lakeland Christian Academy in Lewisville. They have a great program - very well organized.
