Seeking Good GYN in St. Mary's County
Hi, I'm looking for recommendations for a good GYN in St. Mary's County MD. I'm in the California/Great Mills area. I really don't want to drive far, but if I have to I will. If you have any recommendations or anyone I should stay clear of please let me know. Thank you!!

Dr. Tilley delivered my 2nd daughter, who is now 7. I LOVE him! He is very straight-forward in his assessments and really takes the time to listen to my questions and explain any options. He has a very pleasant demeanor, and his office staff is friendly and inviting.

I would suggest Dr. Lisa Polko in Leonardtown by the hospital. The staff and her are great. She also has a new dr in her office but have not dealt with. I have dealty with Ann Naru that is in that office. I used her during my two children and very understanding. There is a long wait list sometimes but worth every min. Hope this helps in your selection.

Hello S.,
My choice, by far, would be the office of Southern Md Women's Health Care. There are 2 OB/GYNs and 2 nurse practioner. Their phone number is ###-###-#### and their office is next to the hospital. Be warned - they are very popular - at least among the people that I know.
Dr. Polko delivered 2 of my 4 boys and she is great!
When I first moved to St. Mary's, I chose a practice that included Dr. Polko. There were 5 doctors - Bowes, Windham, Wills, Polsky and Polko. I think that Dr. Bowes retired and Dr. Wills left the area. Drs. Windham and Polsky are still practicing, I think, but they are no longer OBs - just GYN. They were great, too.
So there you have several names to choose from - Good luck!

Hi S.,
I understand how you feel I'm new to Calvert County and finding a good doctor is hard. Well I went to see Dr Reza Naini in Prince Frederick beside the hospital ###-###-#### and so far him and his team were great. What I love was that he meets with new patients in his office (room) before he does the exam. He goes over any questions that you might have and explains what he's going to do. I've never had a Dr do that before which he made me feel at ease. Also most office rooms are small the one I was in was huge. Good luck, I hope this will help.

I go to Dr. Tilley and he is AMAZING. He is not very talky, so to speak - but I'd rather him just say there are no problems if there aren't any and let me go. He is very helpful with questions and explains everything succinctly. He was great in the delivery room with my son as well - very encouraging and told me everything that was going on.
