I have a 2 yr old that has that special day coming up and am in need of some fun ideas! I was hoping I could get you to drop me a suggestion on a fun place in the Arlington/ Midcities area. I thought of Chuck E Cheese, does anyone still do that??? Please let me know! Are there any other fun places like that where kids ages 12mo- 10 yrs can just have a blast and parents can kick back and maybe enjoy a beer?
Beer's not a must, but sure would be really nice for the parents.
I thought of the back yard and bounce house thing too, but we have so much wrk that needs to be done to the house that we're trying to opt out of that one.
Another option we thought of was Going Bonkers, but it's such a distance from where we are.
What do you guys think? Affordable, too.

Check out Incredible Pizza Company in Euless see what you think. The older kids and parents would probably really enjoy it. They have mini-golf, bowling, go-carts, bumper cars, video games and a decent buffet...all indoors! Ask about the unlimited use game cards if you go. Have fun!

Yes, people still do Chuck-e-cheese. We just had my 9yr old's party there in March. The kids LOVED it. It came to be about $12 per child and because we had the party on a Sunday, we got double tokens AND if you book online, the bday child gets an EXTRA 20 tokens. It all worked out and the kids had a blast.

Our family has enjoyed a couple of birthday parties at Monkey Business in Bedford (south of Central Dr. and 183)- ###-###-####. It is above Kid to Kid. It's one of the more reasonable places - $50 for room rental and then $5 per child. It's an indoor play center with a variety of play areas - dress up room, science room, tots room, kitchen, exercise equipment - in addition to two huge climbing/sliding structures. They encouraged us to bring any food that we wanted but I don't remember if they had a policy about alcohol.

Our place is perfect for kids ages 9 mo. To 8 yrs, please check our web site for some photos better yet bring your child with you (socks are required for all incl. adults) and see if he/she likes it ( no charge if you want to book the B Day. Party for 1/2 an hour).
We have 3 different packages:
1)Up to 8 Party ($85+tx M-Thurs & $99.00+tx. On Fridays and Sat.) : during walk in hours only M-F 10-6pm except Tuesday 12-6pm,( Sat 10-11:30)
2)A. Party [15 kids ($225.00+tx ) or 3)A. Big Party 25 kids ($375.00+tx)] during walk in same time as above plus private party :
Saturdays:
1:00-3:00 pm
3:30-5:30 pm
6:00-8:00 pm
Sundays closed for walk in (open for private parties only)
10:00am-12:00pm
1:00-3:00 pm
3:30-5:30 pm
6:00-8:00 pm
M-F 6pm-8pm except Tuesday 10:00am-noon and 6pm-8pm.
Private means you'll have the whole place to yourself at no extra charge subject to availability, our party room is located in the back so during the walk in hours your party is semi private, you'll only share the playground area with our customers.
Unlike other places you can bring in food/drinks for the adults as well as the kids on all the packages.
A final note that we book very fast especially on the private parties so call in for your reservation (we need a non refundable deposit to book any of the packages to hold the date & time slot and the deposit of course will go towards the party you pick) or stop by soon and do it in person.

Definitely Monkey Grounds (formerly Monkey Business)! We have been going there since it opened. It's a fantastic site!
