Dr. Ramona Marsh in Downers Grove is WONDERFUL. She's in the professional suites at Good Samaritan Hospital. She delivered my daughter when we lived there and then my twins after we moved to Homewood. Absolutely worth the drive. Several of my friends & family members have switched to her after hearing me sincerely say, "I can't wait for my next pap." Who says that? They do, too, now that they've met her. I'm done having kids, but I miss seeing her so much!!!

Someone already mentioned Dr. Lori Leiopold. She delivered my son who is 9 weeks old. I think she is fantastic. Always willing to answer any questions and never I feel rushed. She also has an office in Palos, attached to Palos Community Hospital.

Ok - I know this info does not completely fit what you are asking for but I have to pass along the name of my doctor(s). I absolutely LOVE her and her associate (3 other women docs) - Dr. Joan Cardone, Midwest Women's Health - they are located on Plainfield Road and Madison in Willowbrook. I don't know where you are in Orland but if you take LaGrange to 11th Street West to Routh 83 to Plainfield Road I bet you would be able to get there in under a half hour. Dr. Cardone delivered both of my girls at Hinsdale Hospital and I could not have asked for a better experience. Hope this helps!

Dr. Lori Leipold is at the clinic at West & 153rd, and her number is ###-###-####. She is young and very nice. I have only seen her for personal health problems - I'm past childbearing age, but she seems very professional and approachable.

Bray, Bruska & Mar with Glenwood Medical in Orland are fabulous. They are out of Palos Hospital & this time around (my second) I had the BEST EXPERIENCE EVER with their practice & the hospital. I transferred Drs several times until I found them & they will be my Drs from this point on. Be aware - Bruska is young (and kind of cute) just incase this would bother you. Bray delivered my daughter & he was excellent. All are male OBGYNs however they have 2 nurse practitioners who take care of a lot of their office visits & annual exams. (females) One of them, Ann, is also a labor nurse at Palos - so it was nice to have someone on the floor who came regularly to visit me! Good luck.

Hi Coleen,
I know a phenomenal group of female OB/GYN's in Willowbrook, IL that is only about 15-20 minutes from Orland Park. They have a lot of clients from your area. It is the West Suburban Women's Health group and their number is ###-###-####. Ask for Sheri to schedule an appointment. They are all women and have 3 midwives on staff along with 4 female physicians and are so proactive regarding holistic women's health. Good luck, finding a fabulous doctor is hard but finding four all together is wonderful!! Regards, Liz

I really like Dr. Maureen Mietelski. She is an associate with Dr. John Bush, who is my dr. I had one appointment with her and she did my follow-up care in the hospital. She has offices in Orland (across from Fox's) and Flossmoor. I believe she delivers at South Suburban, Palos and Christ. I had a wonderful experience at Palos just this past August. My appt. with her was near the end of my pregnancy and I found her to be gentle and informative. Dr. Bush is also great, but you mentioned your preference of women drs. Good luck!

I go to Southwest OB/GYN they have offices in Oak Lawn and Orland Park. The Orland offices in Orland are in the Advocate building off of LaGrange (just north of 191st Street).

I have been going to this group of doctors since I was 17 (so 15 years. They delivered both of my children and the Senior doctors who are no longer part of the practice actually delivered me and my siblings.

They work out of Christ Hospital (I don't think they deliver anywhere else) but you can call and ask them.

There are both male and female doctors in the practice, I love them. I live in New Lenox and chose to drive to Oak Lawn for visits for both my pregnancies because that is who I was comfortable with. I was so happy to hear that they opened the Orland office, a bit closer and more convenient.

The office number is ###-###-####.

Hope this helps. Good Luck!
B. :)

I don't know how necessary it is for you to have a female OB/GYN, but I saw all of the Drs (3 men) at Glenwood Medical in OP for both of my pregnancies and loved them all. They are no longer part of my insurance plan and I miss them dearly. I've been to two other offices, but neither compare. Good luck with your search!

Glenwood Medical Group in Orland Park. It's a practice of three doctors. All are wonderful. During your pregancy you will see all three doctors in rotation. Dr. Bray, Dr. Bruska, and Dr. Marr. All are great!!! Dr. Bray is my preferred dr. to attend to for regular visits; but again all are great. The nurses and staff are all very helpful as well.

I have been seeing Dr. Anita Arora for 11 years. She has an office in Oak Lawn and Orland Park (right by Orland Park mall). She works alone-no other doctors and I never have a problem getting in within a couple weeks of calling. The phone number is ###-###-####. When calling you have to specify which office you want to make an appt. for. She is affiliated with Christ Hospital and Palos Community Hospital.

Hi C.,

I recommend Dr. Gail Cansler. She works out of St. James, Chicago Heights location. Her office is right across the street from the hospital. I've found her to be the BEST. All the hospital staff and nurses love her. Most of the nurses I met are her patients. She is truly a wonderful doctor.

Hi, C.,
If you're willing to travel a bit, I highly recommend the Women's Group of Northwestern. They're now on North Michigan Avenue; they're affiliated with Northwestern's Prentice Hospital. They've tripled in size since I started going to them 13 years ago for help sustaining my pregnancies. I have 2 wonderful sons now. We used to live downtown and it was an 8-minute bus ride away. But I travel the 45 minutes to see them once a year now. They're worth the trip...and so am I!
