Hi there. I have a 10 month old son and had a C-section with him as he was breech. We are new to the area and I don't have an OB/GYN up in this area. I'm looking for a female that is easy to talk too, personable, and obviously good at what she does that will also do a V-BAC (Vaginal birth after a C-section). Any names would be greatly appreciated.

Also, has anyone one here had a vaginal birth after a C-section? What are your thoughts? I would love to hear some experiences about that and recovery. I just think it will be hard to not carry my son while recovering from the C-section (impossible) and I would like to preserve my belly as it looks okay now and I would think it doesn't look great after a second C-section...any thoughts??

What can I do next?

I live in the area as well, but I go to Tarzana for my OB GYN care because there is such a scarcity of good OB GYN's in the area. My doctor is named Diana Wong and she is wonderful.

I have been a patient of Dr. Orlin Liberman for 12+ years. She is a wonderful woman! She delivered my daughter via emergency Csection. Her office is ###-###-####

I had a c-section at Simi Valley Hosp. According to my doc, they don't do V-Bac's in Ventura County at all. Too much liability and expense. She said you would have to go to a learning hospital most likely.. since they are staffed for it. V=bacs are being performed less and less. If you're interested, my doc is right off the 23fwy and olsen. She's a gp. She assisted in my c-section and is my doc, my hubby's doc, and our pediatrician. Dr. Shayla Kasel ###-###-####

Call the Family Birth and Women's Center in Sherman Oaks, CA
Speak with Tonya Brooks. She has delivered over 5000 babies and many VBacs.
She is a strong advocate of that. You need Chiropractic Care for this as well.
Tell her Jackie Baird and Dr. Vicky Arcadi referred you.

I don't have a recommendation, but I wanted a VBAC after my first child was a C-section. However, my second child was so big that my doctor recommended against it. I had a second C-section, with no difficulties. I have no stretch marks from either pregnancy and since the C-section is really below the bikini line, it did not affect my stomach as far as wearing a bathing suit.

I also had no problem carrying either one of my children after the C-section (my oldest was 8lbs 4 oz and my second was 9lbs, 6 oz), though I was careful.
