Seeking Evening Swimming Lessons in Summerfields/Watauga Area

Trying to locate someone or some facility in the Summerfields/Watauga area to teach swimming lessons in the evening hours to my almost 10 year old daughter and 6 year old son. My husband and I both work during the day and the children go to a summer day camp. Swimming field trips are included but no lessons. Everywhere I check the hours are during the work day. Any suggestions for after 6:00 PM?

So What Happened?™

Thank you to everyone who responded to my request regarding evening swimming lessons. I signed up both of my children at the Clark Nowlin YMCA. They didn't have a 6:00 PM or after session for their age group but we were able to get a 5:50 class. We'll be able to adjust our schedule a little for the two weeks of lessons. The kids can't wait to go. Thanks again everyone!

Mary Ott ###-###-#### is awesome. She does the classes at her home and is located on Denton Hwy and Glenview. She has taught swim lessons for a VERY long time...she was my swim teacher when I was a little girl (I swim like a fish...LOL) and now she is teaching my 2 boys (5 & 7). She has day and evening classes and is inexpensive.

Have you checked out Aqua Kids on Heritage Trace Pkwy? That's all they do so surely the'd have evening/weekend classes. Or also the Keller Pointe offers swimming lessons too.

We LOVE Aqua Kids on Heritage Trace. My son has been going there for 1 1/2 years (off and on) and they taught him to swim at age 3.

my kids have been going to emler swim school in colleyville for almost 7 years. ( www.iswimemler.com ) they are FABULOUS!

Check the YMCA on Basswood across from the WM Grocery. I am pretty sure they have evening swim lessons. I just checked and their website for the location is down However here is the infoo

The Y on Basswood does have classes in the evening...my son is taking a 6:30 class right now. Maybe we'll see you there!

we also live in the summerfields area and we take our 9.5 year old daughter every summer to the clark nowlin ymca on basswood blvd across the street from the walmart grocery store for swim lessons. she has a blast and afterwards they offer open swim which she loves! Hope this helped-J. DiMarco
