Seeking Ear Nose & Throat Doctor

We went to Dr. Darrow for ear tubes for my son. He is through CHKD and works with Dr. Derkay....both are wonderful. When I originally called their office, I was told it was a two month wait til the first appointment. I asked to be called if there were any cancellations before our scheduled appointment, and they called me three days later with an opening, and two weeks after that, my son had the tubes inserted. It went very quickly, and all is well now. Try asking to be notified of any cancellations, maybe that will get you in sooner? Best of luck to you and your little one!

I also have gone through CHKD fir a ENT Dr. I don't know where you live but I live in Hampton and there is a great Dr over here Dr. Hecker in newport news ###-###-#### , he also has a practice in williamsburg, and in hampton there is Dr Bacon ###-###-####, but are awsome drs. for kids

June is actually not that far away for a specialist appt, tho it may seem like it when your baby is sick. I agree with Christy K's post about Dr. Darrow/Dr. Derkay. Dr. Derkay removed my son's adenoids and tonsils and he is a wonderful dr. My daughter had to go to the Hemangioma Clinic at CHKD and Dr. Darrow heads it, and he also is wonderful. However, since both perform clinic work and surgery they are pretty busy. Like Christy said, ask if they can call if there is a cancellation. One of his appointments was moved up due to a cancellation and I didn't even ask to be notified. You could also ask whoever her appt is with now if they have another location. sometimes they do and there might be an earier date for that place.
