Seeking Drama Classes or Art Classes

I am looking for a creative outlet for my 8 year old for the summer. Does anyone know about available, affordable camps or courses that could engross my child? She's an artsy girl with a deep love of drama, arts and crafts, pottery, etc..

What can I do next?

A. W. I have a Camp Crop-a-lot in June for scrapbooking. It's $25 and it's Tues 6/17, 18 and 19 from 10 to 2 and you have to buy an album kit prior to day camp and they range from $35 to $50 depending on your choice. They bring a sack lunch & I provide drink and snack. They'll learn a new technique each day and win prizes and have fun. They need to bring 24 to 36 pictures of their choice to do a "Fun things I like to do" theme or perhaps a vacation trip or "Sports I like" or "I'm a Musician" (whatever pertains to their life. We also have $15 Paper album kits what you could choose if $35 is too hign for album.. I'm also doing a 1 hour DAD'S day Paper Album session for $20 on Thurs. 6/5 or Fri 6/13 from 5 to 6 PM. My home is in No. Arlingtpn near I30 & No. Fielder. A. C.

The Irving Arts Center offers drama and arts workshops. The number is ###-###-####.

You might check out the Van Grow Art Studio in Fort Worth. I was just looking at their summer camp schedule earlier this week, and they have some fun-looking things if your daughter likes art-and-craft activities!

Check out Kids Who Care--musical theater. My kids are very involved and there's a great camp for most of July for ages 6-up. It's a great organization in the museum district. kidswhocare.org. They are also putting on "West Side Story" the weekend of June 20 (4 performances) if you want to get a feel for it.

you might try CATS in Arlington or Casa Kids in Fort worth, this would focus on the theatre side, plus check out Jo Anns fabrics, they have classes for kids for crafts.

The Bedford Boysranch and also the Artisan Center Theatre has kids classes.

Casa Kids is great, but can be pricey.
