Hi everyone!

I'm trying to find a specific doctor that someone had told me about 8 years ago. I don't remember the doctor's name so I'm hoping maybe someone here might know who I'm talking about. I guess you would call him a holistic doctor because he does natural remedies for healing different types of illnesses/diseases. The person that told me about him, went to him because she had extreme anxiety. He told her that her body was in a constant state of 'fight or flight response'. She said after he treated her she could definitely feel a difference and she felt better.
She also told me that many of his patients come from different states all over the country because he is well known for his healing abilities. If I remember right, she said he is located in North Dallas - maybe - I'm not sure.
Does anyone know of a holistic doctor in the North Dallas area - or better yet - in Plano or Allen?
Thanks
A.

I believe you may be talking about Dr. Stephen Cook. He is located on the SW corner of Trinity Mills and Midway roads in the North Dallas/Carrollton area. Their offices are in the corner of the shopping center near NickelMania. The doctor was trained in Chinese Holistic medicine. Two of my co-workers have been to him to treat things, such as hot flashes, acne, back pain and they've seen positive improvements. They tell me they meet people there from across the country that will drive to see him on a monthly basis to get their medicine for various illnesses/ailments (for example, weight loss, allergies, diabetes, anxiety, depression, etc...) What he does is meet with you for as long as you want or have the need to talk to him. He will do a quick check-up of your eyes & mouth and then he knows exactly what is wrong in your body. He seems to have a fifth sense about it. He will let you know what Chinese medicines to take that he provides in his clinic. You are under no obligation to buy everything he recommends. He doesn't provide quick cures. But over time, you see improvements and have to take less and less of the medicine.

He is closed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. He is open all other days of the week. Usually opens around noon and stays open until late (until 9pm or until the last patient leaves). Sundays are his slower days and open 12-5. If you get in before the official door closing time, he will see you until everyone is gone. He doesn't charge a doctor visit fee, so you can see him for FREE and see what he says about you. My co-workers said they don't have an actual phone # but do have a fax that you can fax them questions to and they'll fax you back... Fax #: ###-###-####.. But be prepared to wait when you go. Because of the way he works (sees you as long as you want), they do not make advanced appts. You may be there anywhere between 1 hour to 5-6 hours depending on when you go (you should probably leave your kids with a babysitter). When you arrive, they can let you know how many people are ahead of you so you can decide if you want to stay. I've been there to pick up medicine for my co-workers since I live close in Carrollton, but I haven't personally been seen by the doctor so I can't vouch for what kind of "healing" abilities he has. Hope this helps!

I'm not sure who you are looking for but I have seen Stephen Duncan. He is a licensed massage therapist and holistic doctor. He has helped me in the past and is very good at what he does. I used him when I was pregnant - not as my primary doctor of course. I got my prenatal vitamins from him and they were better than the vitamins my OB/GYN was prescribing me. His website is www.holisticbodyworker.com and he is located in the Turtle Creek area of Dallas.

I use Dr. Alex Bekker. He is at Mockingbird & Abrams. He is an MD and was trained in general medicine, but was so distraught about how western medicine functions that he then became a homeopath. I think he uses Indian Homeopathy... i guess there are several different kinds?? Anyways, he is great and has treated me and my friends for everything from morning sickness to heart arhythmia. His office is very small, and he can usually see you the same day you call if not the next day. His wife works in the office too. His number is ###-###-####. Good luck!

I would seek out Christine Moore in Plano ###-###-#### she is a chiropractor but deals with nutrition and other health issues too. You do not have to have adjustments to go to her...you can see her for other things as well. I have also heard that Dr. James Denito in Allen is good. Both are very holistic and will work with your issues. Good luck to you. Let me know if you need more information.

Randy F., Ph.D. was located in Dallas and has relocated to southeast Texas and is active in holistic healing and iridology to clients all over the world. He can care for clients over the phone and internet or in person and is amazing. He listens to every detail and immediatly knows what to do to help children and adults. I saw him in a TV interview with many people giving testimonials of the healing they received from illnesses that were said to be terminal or doctors had no idea what to do they call Randy. He still has his email ____@____.com this may help someone as he is the only doctor our family uses and we never have to see him.

This is an old post but I will help those out who are looking for Dr. Stephen Cook.

Holistic Herbal Health
2661 Midway Rd, #210, Carrollton, TX

I came across this post while looking for the shop phone number (that I had misplaced).

If you live anywhere near Dallas and have not gone to visit Dr. Cook then you are a fool. I hate to be blunt like this but it’s the truth...

Dr. Cook has changes so many lives for the better including my own. One of the few doctors that could care less about where you come from, how much money you have in your pocket, race, gender etc. This man's goal in life is to heal people.

Many people think of eastern medicine as hocus-pocus (I was one of those people) but you will quickly change your mind after a single visit. It is true that Dr. Cook does not take appointments so you have to show up early and wait patiently (unless you were lucky enough to be the first in line). Dr. Cook's practice runs on a first come fist server basis and everyone will receive equal time in seeing the doctor. He will not leave until the last customer has been seen and is comfortable with the meeting.

It is important to be very patient on your first visit as it can take some time before you see the doctor but the wait is part of the experience. Grab yourself a cup of tea, sit back in a comfortable recliner and talk to all of the friendly patients waiting to see the doctor. You will hear incredible stories of recovery when all hope was lost.

Dr. Cook has patients fly in from other states just to see him... this alone should tell you that this guy works wonders.

One of the coolest things about Dr. Cook is the way he diagnosis your ailments. Most doctors rely on you telling them what’s wrong and then they dive into the medical books and see what they say they should do... Not Dr. Cook. Dr. Cook uses an ancient form of Pulse and Tongue reading to tell what’s wrong with the body. Dr. Cook will astound you with the accuracy of his readings. One of my favorite things to do is to watch the new customers as he tells them he does not want to know what’s wrong with them and then proceeds to tell them every last detail of what has been bothering them. This is not a cheap parlor trick but rather an extremely polished skill that he has mastered over many years.

I have been lucky enough to meet many of the wonderful people who visit the good doctor and have heard many stories of cures that western medicine could not handle. Diabetes, High blood pressure, Arthritis, Back pain, Colds, Headaches etc. He can help you with all of them. I can’t tell you how many people he has helped rid themselves of diabetes. Its simply amazing.

I beg of you... for your own good... if you have anything wrong with you that your current doctors have not been able to cure please go see this guy. It will not cost you a cent to see the guy as all visits are free... He will change your life for the better.

If anyone would like more information about my experience please ask any questions and I will give you what info I have. Help me expand this thread to the largest on the website. I want everyone to know about the miracle that is Stephen Cook.

PLEASE POST ANY STORIES YOU HAVE ABOUT THE GOOD DOCTOR TO HELP GET THE WORD OUT.
