Seeking Dermatologist in Pinellas or Hillsborough County

Hey everyone!
I'm concerned about my husband, Donnie's skin. He has some spots that
I want him to get checked. He also said to me yesterday that his right
side of his face felt like pins and needles. Ugh, I hope
everythign is okay but I wanted to get some recommendations before I
start calling everyone in the phone book, lol

Thanks in advance!

What can I do next?

I went to Douglas Pierce to get my moles removed a few years back. He's located at the Bardmoor center in Largo. I've also been to Dr. Schekorra on Park Blvd. She was the one that diagnosed my rosecea. They were very good as well. Sorry but I don't have numbers but I know they're in the phone book. Good luck!

In Hillsborough county, I would highly recommend Dr. Robert Norman. He is one of the best. I've tried dermatologists closer to my home, but I always go back to him as I trust him the most. He is very friendly, TRULY cares about his patients, and has a great balance of knowing when to remove something and when its unnecessary (but of course, will always remove it if that is what you desire). Many other dermatologists tend to lean one way or the other, cutting everything off or too much of a wait and see. Be sure to make an appt with him, as there are others in his office. They are good too, but he's the one I go there for :)

C., Dr. Fenske is good. He works with USF, and always has dermatology residents working with him, but as a result, you get great follow up. His office was better at providing follow up information than my primary. Get to him soon. It is a bear seeing him during the holidays. The tingling on the Face could be Bells Palsy, but a surefire symptom of this syndrome would be if you also saw drooping on the right side of the face reminiscent of how a stroke victim would appear.

Both my husband and I have been to Dr Kongsiri and she is a wonderful dermatologist. She is right on Central Avenue in St Pete, very convenient.

Have your Husband go to the Dr. ANY Dr. right away. It sounds like it COULD BE Bells Palsy. My sister had it and her Dr. diagnosed her right over the phone. Luckily they caught it before any permant damage was done but timing is key. Tell him to see a Dr. right away just in case. They can usually treat it with medication and it goes right away. Nothing major unless it goes untreated.

I don't have a specific dermatologist I'd recommend - I'm in Oldsmar, quite a bit away from St. Pete. But I would recommend that when you start calling, tell them that your husband has very worrisome spots that are causing him pain, and you want him seen right away. Otherwise, they will try to book you into February!

Our dermatologist is Virginia Street Dermatology and we love them. They normally get us in quickly if we find a worrisome spot. http://vsderm.home.insightbb.com/index.html

I go to the Largo location and they are great, however they do have several locations throughout the area! Good Luck and try not to worry!!! :)

Dirk Suringa in Tampa is excellent. However, because he is so good plan to wait awhile both to get an appointment and also at his office at the time of the appointment.
