Seeking Dentist in Fayetteville/Hope Mills Area

Hi military moms! I am writing because I am looking for a good pediatric dentist for my son (his first appointment) and a dentist for myself who is a particpating provider with United Concordia. Every time we move, I hate to start all over finding a new dentist. I've had some good ones and some bad ones. I'd rather not "experiment" anymore, espcially not on my child! I appreciate your recommendations.

What can I do next?

I highly recommend Dr Michael Choe of Westlake Family Dentistry. He has been taking care of my two boys and myself for 8 years, and they accept Tricare.

I am petrified of needles, and you would never know you had received a shot from him. His staff is friendly and professional. I just can't say enough good things about this practice.

Hi K.,

We see Dr. David Harsant over on Yadkin Rd. It's right outside post. He's been our family dentist for over ten years. He "fixed" all of the bad dental work I had in my mouth and is great with my kids. The girls that work in his office are really nice, too. They have no problem with military insurance. Good luck! L.

We use Village Family Dental on Village drive for all of us. They do accept the insurance but are not a provider. The only time it matters is when you have add'l work done with percentage of what you have to pay but for routine cleanings/flouride are covered. I wasn't sure what they meant at first about the insurance but it has worked out at this point and the staff is great.

Good Luck!

I too use Village Family Dental. When we first moved here several years ago, I tried out this one place and was not happy by how impersonal and disorganized they were...(they stuck us in a room and forgot about us...not good for a first visit). Then a friend told us about Village and we've been there since. The pediatric section is wonderful. My daughter fell in love with her dentist and actually looks forward to going to the dentist! It's a bit more, depending on the work you need to have done, than other offices may be. But in my opinion, it's well worth paying a little extra.

Personally, my son who is now 5 uses Richard Barbaro, DDS. He is a pediatric Dentist and he's great with kids. They also treat adults. The kids go upstairs. He's very gentle and my son enjoys going to the dentist. ###-###-####
