Hi T., my name is C. & I have danced most of my life, but not in the past 4years, I now that if you wanted the directors would likely let you watch a few classes to get a feel for the studio, I would watch the class your daughters would be in & if the teacher who would be teaching your girls teaches an older group I would watch that also, just to get an idea of her personality. I've danced at Rowlett Dance Academy - I think Sara Lewis teaches small children & she's great, Brodway Dance center - for jazz if Leslie Hatchard teaches little ones she's great to, Chamberlian - I only danced here for awhile so I didn't get to know anyone there well, but I enjoyed it very much & if your more intrested in ballet then I would go with Kristie Bittenbender-Garner she owns Storybook Ballet Theatre, the girls who have danced with Kristie have gone on to do great things, some becoming members of the Dallas Ballet theatre. I hope this helps.

You may want to try Calico Kids, some people love and some don't. They are good with small kids, and it's in Garland. Classes will start the first of Sept.

I just signed my 3 y/o daughter up at Dance Company of Wylie and she's very excited! There's also KC's Dance Studio and Standing Ovation in Sachse that I've heard are good. If you're just starting out w/dance or trying to save money, classes are offered through the city of Murphy and Sachse by Calico Kids (I think). Also, the city of Plano and Lifetime Fitness (you don't have to be a member)has several. Have fun!

Calico Kids in Garland is great. They also have an awesome performing arts preschool on Tuesdays and Thursday mornings. It is our sixth year in the studio and my kids love it.

My little one goes to Steppin Out in Mesquite. I like it so far. Here is the number ###-###-####. She gets excited when it is time to go to class. Good luck!

Both my daughter's took dance, twirling, etc. from Calico Kids in Garland. Their studio is in the shopping center at Beltline and North Garland Ave. (Babe's Restaurant is in this shopping center.)

This studio has been in business over 30 yrs.!!! They now are teaching a 2nd generation of students! My daughters started in their Kiddie College when they were 3 yrs. old and took classes all the way until they were 16 and 18 yrs. old.

The foundation, showmanship,confidence etc. that they learned at Calico Kids really paid off for my girls. One daughter went on to be a Band and Color Guard (throw 6 ft. flags!) member at Berkner High Scchool and then for the Baylor University Band.

The other daughter chose cheerleading in junior high and then wnet on to perform on a competitive cheerleading squad as well as drillteam for Berkner! She dances now at Collin College and for the Frisco Thunder Indoor Football Team.

I would HIGHLY recommend this studio!!!
