Seeking Children's Fingerprint Services on the Northwest Side of Chicago
I am looking for information about getting my child fingerprinted. I know that the sherrif's office and sometimes police set up stands at fairs, etc. to do free fingerprinting, but am not sure where those are. I need to get it done soon before my daughter goes overseas.

Some police stations will do it for $10. I would call and ask at your local station.

Not positive but I think you can just go to the police. They might charge a fee (again not sure). I got fingerprinted for subbing not long ago at a police department. They have certain nights there.

try asking your local police station or your park district sometime they also have ID kits at walgreens.

You can do it yourself, online you can order a child safety kit for free! I don't remember the website, but google it and it comes with the carbon strips and a card where to put them along with a picture, etc. Then keep it in a fire proof filing cabinet so you can provide it if ever needed and don't have to worry about another department losing it or for you to remember which department you contact to get it, etc.

CAll 311-your local police department should do it. They have a KIDS program that does finger printing and everything!
