Seeking BOXES in Buffalo Grove/Arlington Hgts/Patatine Area

I am moving sooner than expected and need boxes immediately. If you have extra boxes or know where I could get some, I would greatly appreciate it. I can not afford to hire a mover, or to pay for boxes.

What can I do next?

hey M... my daughter is going back to college..and needed boxes for moving in.. I called Jewell.. here in Cary.. they won't reserve them over night for you.. and I think they get a lot of calls for boxes.. so if you sound appreciative of whatever they can do..you may get better results.. just my opinion.. and if you call early in the morning.. they have some..they break them all down after 7 or so... I think it is a policy or something..I think they are weird about it as I think some people have stolen things in t hem.. they kept checking mine and said it was policy.. it was weird.. but I didn't care.. I was saving MONEY!

there is nothing wrong with their egg boxes.. and I didn't have a problem with their produce ones either.. good luck!!! let us know how it goes!

Once upon a time my car seat needed repair so I went to the UPS store. They grabbed my car seat, threw it in a box and practically used a whole roll of tape to get it closed. Then the guy came back to me and charged me $18.99 for the BOX!!!!!!! He said he didn't charge for wrapping it, just for the box. Gee Thanks! Just after I finished thanking him for robbing me, a kind gentleman came it to send his nicely wrapped package off. I said " Thank God you have a box- I just got taken to the cleaners" to which he replied: " Oh anytime you need boxes, just come into the back of the Jewel and ask one of the workers for boxes they'll be happy to give you as many as you want for FREE.
Good luck with your move and for the love of money- Go to Jewel for your boxes.

We moved recently and we found the Jewel or Dominick egg boxes were the best. They have handles, but be careful to not break out the bottom if it is too heavy. They are not too big soyou do not over pack the box so as to need the huck to lift it. And best yet free!!! Just go to the service desk and ask. We called first and asked when egg shipments usually arrive as to go on those days. Bring a big car if ya have it b/c then you do not have to fold them down.

Hi M.-

If you still need boxes, I have some left over from our move to Wheeling. They are yours if you'd like to stop by and get them.

Hi M.-

I have been in the moving and storage industry for over 10 years. My Dad is a packer. He has boxes but they are new and yeah boxes aren't cheap. I know grocery stores will give you boxes but ewww.

I know movers can be expensive but they do give you the boxes free (used) when you move with them.

I am sure my Dad would be willing to work out a nomial fee for some boxes. Give him a call ###-###-####. He's in Palatine off Euclid and Quentin Will Harling
