Seeking Best Hospital Choice in Frisco, TX Area

I am trying to determine which hospital to deliver my first baby at in July. I would like a natural birth, and am also considering a few birthing centers. However, I believe I would feel more comfortable since this is my first experience with labor to be in a hospital that is supportive of my desire for natural birth. My main choices are Baylor at Frisco, Texas Health Plano(formerly Presbyterian Plano), and Baylor at Dallas. I haven't been able to find recent stats on c-section rates for these three hospitals. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

What can I do next?

Baylor Frisco!
I've delivered in Houston and at Baylor Frisco. WAY better experience at Frisco than the run-of-the-mill hospital in Houston. I've had friends deliver in other areas of Dallas and when they came to Frisco they were very impressed. Go visit - you'll understand. Staff was just as great as the facility!

I delivered at The Birthing Center on Swiss Avenue. It was wonderful. They were close to Baylor down town and the transfers were super quick if you had a problem.

i delivered my 2nd at baylor frisco...it was great.
but i really don't think you can go wrong in the n.dallas area. there are lots of good ones. i would go with the one that is most convienent for you...especially if family is coming in town or your husband will be going back and forth much.
oh, and i did have c-sections both times...no problems at all.

I am in love with Presby Plano. I have been a patient there many times and always received top notch care. I had my son there in 08. Had a natural birth. They never tried to convince me to have anything different. My son spent 3 wks in the NICU and it was a great experience too.

Good luck with your Pregnancy!!

I have heard excellent things about Baylor/Frisco and Plano Presby, but Presby seems to be very expensive with their charges-they all are, but they seemed higher. Just an FYI.

We had a wonderful experience with our first child at Presby-Dallas on Walnut Hill. Our birth plan was for natural birth, but ended up going C because the baby didn't turn over. So, my point is that those statistics can be misleading. Of course some women want C-section, and others don't intend to but end up with one because their OB advised it with the baby's health in mind - and isn't that most important? I wouldn't let those statistcs have anything to do with your choice.
