Seeking Advice on How to Get Rid of Pregnancy Mask

My daughter is now a year old and I am still struggling to git rid of the pregnancy mask on my upper lip and cheeks. I've tried a few products, but nothing seems to be working. Has anyone had any luck getting rid of it completely?

J.,

Oh, I was so there and am still a little. I lived with the upper chin mask from July 02 (while pregnant) until oh, recently. I have been pregnant or nursing since 2002 so I wasn't able to do what my dermatoligist recommended. Which was a lightning gel and hydroquinonine (spelling is wrong), I did however use this for a short while a few months ago, then stopped while trying to get pregnant and I now use the Arbonne anti-aging line which I think has helped tremendously. I also don't go anywhere w/out sunblock on my face, any sun you get will make the dark spots darker! Also, if you are still nursing, that can contribute. My son stopped nursing in May, so I think both that and the Arbonne I'm using has really helped.

I do have the brown spots on my cheeks still but they seem to be getting a little better. I only really cared about the upper lip though since it always looked like I had a mustache! I'm sure you understand!

See a dermatologist if you haven't already. The usual treatment plan that I mentioned above is not expensive at all.

Hello J.,
I have struggled with the same problem, which was escalated by my lack of sun care. Finally my Dermatologisy recommended Obaji skincare and a prescripttion of retinol, which worked great, only was very pricey and caused dryness, also because of the retinol your skin becomes even more sensitive to the sun. I have since started using Dr. Rodan and Fields line of skincare. In fact this has worked so much better for my lifestyle that i have become a consultant for them, i just love the products. Just FYI Dr. Rodan and Fields are the makers of Proactiv. This line of skincare was originally sold in high end deptment stores, but the have just recently gone to a direct marketing route, for a more personalized approach. If you would like more info about this line please feel free to email me or vist the website.
hope this helps.

Hi there.
I have had the pregnancy mask from both my pregnancies and here is what has worked for me and some friends that I know.
The product Obagi does a very good job at helping with discoloration as does any product with pure vitamin c. The issue that I have with most of the products that treat pigmentation have hydroquinon in it, which has been linked to cancer.
I have had some of the dark pigment areas spot treated by laser. They spot treat it with a laser and then you get a scab that lasts for about two weeks then flakes off. That has been successful for me.
Hope it helps.

Avon has a cream that gets rid of brown spots. I had a large one on my forhead and it's completely gone. It hasn't returned

Try Y-age by Lifewave.com/kherihealth Helps with skin discoloration, scars, wrinkles, autism, eyesight, high blood pressure and sooooooo much more. Raises glutathione levels by 300%. No drugs, pills, chemicals, lotions, etc.. Money back if not happy, so you have nothing to lose.

Hi there - i too was still nursing until my daughter turned 18 mos so that i am sure prolonged the mask. Not to mention sunny California Sun and several bad sunburns on vacation a few years back....they come back and haunt you! BUT Arbonne has helped me too! I also had 3 treatments of the Vitalize Peel from Skinmedica this summer and that had amazing results!!

Along with my Arbonne daily i finish up with the Procyte Ti-Silc GT 60+ Sunblock 60. These combinations have made my mask fade tremendously. The NutrinR-9 that the other ladies mentioned are great! No need to buy ALL the products though!! Do not end up with all these lotions when only a few will help. The cleanser, toner and scrub with the night cream is all you really need from Arbonne. I am not an Arbonne consultant, yet i do recommend the product. I had the pregnancy mask really dark and it did fade alot with the products i mentioned. The Vitalize Peel is pricey but if you go to a dermotologists they will give you a deal for 3 treaments for $300-$325...just ask them. It is worth the price. The peel gave me results the first time and with the follow-up arbonne it made a big difference.

The Sunblock i recommend and use not only prevents but treats your current sun damage and masks as well!! And i am able to put my minerlize make-up on with no foundation for a flawless look!! No melting or overly made-up!

Sunblock daily after your facial cleaning. People think the way i did before - use must 1 specific brand..but you end up with all these bottles and lotions and spend lots of unneccessary $$, no need to do that!

Hopes this helps! Remember use only what works for you and start with the minimal products ;)

BTW - A little secret too....I was able to buy my products online...EBAY has everything!!!! Initially i went through my Arbonne consultant and after that i new what i needed and now i buy it on Ebay...even my Sunblock!

;)

My girlfriend had the same problem in the same area. She got the Even Complexion Essence for $35.00 from Mary Kay. It worked very well. I can ship you some if you send me your address. 100% satisfaction guarantee, if you try it (even down to the last bit) and you find it didn't work for you, then I can refund your money.
Send me an email. I have it here ready to go.

If you see a dermatologist, they can perscribe you a skin bleaching cream. Use sunblock with 30+spf on your upperlip and face. It helps a lot
