Seeking Advice for Car Accident
I was recently in an auto accident, injured, and my car is messed up (currenly being worked on). <can't type long> First off, the accident wasn't my fault and the other parties insurance company accepted liability. What has been your experience in this situation where you needed medical attention and the insurance company is trying to settle for pennys and give you the run around. I'm not trying to cash in on this, I just want to get better. Any advice?!?!

I had to go to the Er with my son in my last one. When it was time to pay I told them it was from a wreck that was the other person's fault and they said I could send the bill I get to the place that was paying for the wreck. I called them and they gave me an address and told me to put the claim number on the bill. They took care of it.Whne I had state farm I even got a check from them even though it was not my fault (for medical expen).

Lawyer, lawyer, lawyer.
you don't have to accept more than what you think you deserve, but you will never get anything by yourself.

Get a lawyer and fast! Insurance companies are not here to help you, they are here to make money! You need someone that will be on your side!

T.,
They have an amount that they're going to pay. And it's a range, not a set in stone number. You can go for the lawyer, which is good advice, but it costs money. Try letting a man talk to them, someone on your side. I know that might sound sexist, but it often works. Be polite, just tell them that it isn't enough to cover your costs and that they need to cover the costs.
