Here's an on-line fertility website you might find helpful:

Also, a few months ago I received some information about this clinic in Houston, TX that was providing free IVF for study patients. You might want to look into it.

I know TTC can be challenging emotionally and financially but hang in there as everything works out as it should in the end. Best of luck!

Before doing the IVF, have you and your husband had a thorough exam. It is important to make certain you both are healthy. I suggest you try Nativity Women's and Birthing Center located in The Woodlands off I-45. Melanie Dossey is the Director and may be of some help to you. If not, perhaps an herbalist can help. Technically, there is so many more options. Just rule out as many unnecessary procedures as possible. Good Luck!

K.~ I know a couple (she is 37) and they had trouble getting pregnant too. They found an all natural doc and it worked. I don't know much about how and what, all I know is that they are pregnant and believe that she helped. The web site is www.houstonholistichealthclinic.com Her name is Dr. Gracie Chukwu, she is board certified in Naturopatihic medicine. It is worth checking out the web or calling to get some info. Hope this helps.

My husband and I went through this as well. It took us over two years to get pregnant. I had ovarian drilling done before trying other infertility treatments. The doctor who did my surgery didnt believe in meds and after two years we ended up seeking out a new doctor...it was the best decision we ever made. I highly highly highly recommend Dr. Allon with Center for Women's Medicine.
He is more than a doctor...he really listens which is so rare in some doctors these days! We ended up having to go straight into IVF, bc of all the issues I have with my female organs. On our first try we were pregnant...I am now 25 weeks! Dr Allon saved my life in many ways...infertility is very painful and very isolating. We also opted to do Acupuncture through his staff as well. Sarah Fan is extrodinary!
Also, do check with your insurance ...ours paid $5k max lifetime for meds, and 5K max lifetime for medical. Every little bit helps! Believe me I understand the $$$ side of it...its not an easy choice. My sister in law tried up until the IUI then they decided to adopt. I adopted her mentality when we tried our first IVF procedure...no matter what I wanted to be a mom whether it meant having my own biological children or adopting.
Best of Luck to you...keep us posted!!

K. I completely understand how you are feeling right now. My husband and I tried for 2 years to have a baby and finally we had to seek fertility assistance. I worked for a company that had Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance and that insurance gave me a $15K lifetime maximum toward fertility. Needless to say we did invitro and we were successful the first try. Thank GOD!! I know that most insurance companies do not cover this type of procedure but my fertility doctor works with their patients with the payments. I believe there's a company that assists with these costs for people who have had failed attempts with their fertility assistance. I am not sure what doctor you are seeing but I would definitely recommend checking out The Houston Fertility Institute. My doctor was Dr. DeSplinter and she and her staff are AWESOME! The institute has several locations but I went to the Tomball location. Just to let you know that it seems that their success rate is higher then other doctors. One patient that I got to know tried IVF four times at a different doctor with no success. She tried IVF with my doctor and was pregnant with triplets on her first try! If nothing else, go in for a consultation. They have great people there to go over all of your options. Good luck! If you need anything, have questions, etc. I am more than happy to answer. Stay strong and keep believing. Your miracle will come...

Hi K.,
I'm sorry to hear you are having problems with getting pregnant. I've never had to go through that but I know that there are herbs you can take to help achieve conception both for you and your husband. I'm a Certified Family Herbalist and I know the first thing you need to do is to detox your body. There might be something there "blocking" the process. Detoxing your colon & liver along with quality supplements to feed every living cell in your body will prepare your body for conception. After that you can add certain herbs like maca - that's one of several helpful herbs. If you want further info please email me ____@____.com

I know exactly how you feel and trust me age isn't always the factor. I got married when I was 23 and my husband and I tried for almost 9 years to get pregnant. I saw 3 different specialists and didn't have any progress. I had hundreds of tests run and blood work and took numerous fertility drugs and it was the most frustrating thing ever. I felt like no one in the doctor's office cared, I was just another patient.
While on vacation in Mexico, someone gave me the name of a specialist in Monterrey, Mexico. My husband and I decided to give it a try. This doctor was totally different. He understood and was very aggressive in helping us achieve our dream. We tried 2 rounds of just fertility drugs that didn't work and then 2 rounds of IUI. I am happy to say that on the second round of IUI I got pregnant. I am due in July and can't tell you how wonderful I feel. Plus one of the best perks is the cost of treatment. Including all the traveling expenses, medication and doctor's fees we spent a total of $6,000. That was over a course of 5 months. There is no way we could have afforded the same treatment here. Let me know if you are interested and I will send you a link to his website. I wish I could tell you not to stress out but I know from experience how difficult it is. The best thing I can say is to pray on it. Good luck and NEVER give up hope, Miracles DO HAPPEN!!
