Seeking a Theater Group for 7 Year Old Daughter

I highly recommend the Plano Community Theater. They are located at 15th and Custer. My 5 year old son was in the High School Musical Too last year and loved it. We got a brochure in the mail today and they have rehearsals starting Feb 9th. http://www.planocommunitytheater.com

Hi, Have you tried Plano Community Theatre? They have Some smallanmd some major theater productions, and is very fun for girls.

Plano Children's Theater in Plano is excellent. You could sign her up for classes there, and then she would be eligible to audition for local performances. Also, Word of Mouth Productions in McKinney does shows that include children. Good luck!

I don't know of any local theater groups that are for kids except the ones that you have to pay for like Plano/McKinney Childrens Theater. Which in my honest opinion is way too expensive. The Spotlight Theater in Allen is trying to start acting classes for kids so maybe soon they will have something going.

If your daughter has the personality that you are describing I have an event that she will surely love. My daughter is 9 and is a performer also. She sings, dances, and acts.

The girls 7 and up are required to do compete in talent so she will have to be able to perform. We also have Interview, photogenic, partywear (Sunday Best Dress), and casualwear (cute skirt set, capri set, etc).

Our program is a scholarship program that teaches girls sportmanship, poise, stage presence, interview skills, volunteering, international friendships, and self esteem. We are NOT like the negative public image of "PAGEANTRY."

There is a children's theater in plano. They have classes and put on plays and musicals for the public as well as having summer camps for this too.

I also highly recommend Plano Community Theatre. They have a sister theatre called McKinney Youth Theatre. Both are fabulous. My daughters have done over 20 shows, classes and camps there for the past 6 years. We love it! Call Sara at ###-###-####. J. H.
