I have used Michelle West who is a wonderful artist who is sensitive and respectful with ceremonial themes. She is wonderful with the use of shadow and siloette. In color or black & white her photography is spirit filled and woman friendly.She can be reached at ____@____.com

Check with Kristy Ralston ###-###-####, ____@____.com). She's a professional photographer, who used to do photojournalist style weddings for Artisan Events. She then got into post-partum doula work, and she's a nanny now. Kristy's freelance business specializes in kid photography and she's now doing maternity work. She did a session with my family this fall, and we ended up ordering a whole bunch of prints.

Very affordable and she goes to you and does a good job, you'll enjoy the experience, I send you a link so you can check her work out, If you decide to get her tell her Maria recommended you. This maternity photoshoots go from $200 and up elsewhere, she does it cheaper than that and includes the potraits, cd of all images and the photoshoot to the location of your choice.

We used Ketzi Chacon and she was wonderful. We actually purchased a package for maternity + first year photos. She came to our house, though she does have a studio now, which was easy and comfortable for us. She is more affordable than a lot of the others I saw online (her sitting fees are around $100, I think, ours were less because of the package, and the prints are around $20 and up each). This is a wonderful idea! But it is very expensive too! I used a woman in Warrenville, her company was called Modern Madonnas. She was great and the pictures were beautiful! I used her for my first pregnancy and my husband took pictures for my next two pregnancies using color and b&w in our yard with the other kids. Not quite as awe-inspiring but still good memories.

We used Jodie Garland to take first year photos of our son. She charges a very reasonable flat fee and gives you the rights to the photos to do your own prints. She also does pregnancy photos. She is in Skokie.

She's kinda new to the whole photography thing, so she comes at a good discount, but she's very friendly and we felt extremely comfortable around her. I highly recommend Jenny Fontaine (www.fontainephotography.com). She is a true artist and she shoots digital, so she can give you both color and b&w. I was very happy with her work and have had her take 3 month, 6 month, 9 month and yearly photos of both my boys and our family. She comes to your house or any location you agree upon which is very convenient and private. She has very reasonable rates.

Marcia at Modernmadonnas.com she's WONDERFUL. I LOVE HER... she's a wonderful woman and wonderful photographer. We had her capture both of our pregnancies. She's amazing. I felt completely comfortable and beautiful through her lens. My 2yr old also opened up to her and we were able to get some beautiful shots with her too.
I feel blessed to have found her. My sister also had photos taken, unfortuately by someone else. She and I both whole heartedly agree there is a HUGE difference in the quality from person to person.
I have recommended her to all (she even does family photos too)(which is a big deal as I don't reccommend anyone)... Anyone who has seen my photos have been in awe! ck her out.
