Seeking a Pediatric Dentist

I hope your dentist is not the dentist office next to the community federal credit union. She is criminal in the way she treats kids and the sloppy work she does. I do not often trash doctors but she was horrible to my son.

We work with a family dentist, Dr O'Brien on Palmer and Lilly. My kids love him. There is also a family dentist on Lilly in Plymouth south of Ann Arbor Road that specializes in cosmetic dentistry. He would probably give you some great advice, we went to see him when our dentist was unavailable one summer. (long story) His name was Dr. A. Birman if memory serves me.

I tried the regular dentist with my now 5 year old son, but it was not the best experience for him. It was not kid-friendly, and not what I expected with his first trip to the dentist. I am not sure if you are willing to travel outside of Canton. Our kids have a pediatric dentist located in Taylor(Dr. Golnick). Let me know if you want more information.

Golnick Pediatrics in Taylor. Its a very nice stand alone building/practice. They also have a location in Farmington Hills.
The doctors are also Professors at U of M Dental School teaching Pediatric Dentistry. The entire staff is FANTASTIC!!
I work in the dental field - this is who I trust for my daughters dental care.

My daughter went to a ped. dentist in Southgate by the Name of Dr. Jodi Finazzo and she is located on Northline Rd. She is wonderful!!

I would suggest Dr. Amy Parker and Dr. Tingling, in Berkeley, 12 mile and Greenfield. They are on staff at Children's Hospital and Beaumont, and are extremely experienced and competent. Their number is ###-###-####.

hi J. j. im not sure of your area but i live in f.hills but i take my son to the dentist downtown thats a part of childrens hospital. to me its worth the drive to know that i have someone who specializes in children. and since they do, they have typically seen everything...hope this helps...

I take my daughter to a wonderful pediatric dentistry office in the Novi area -- not too far from Plymouth/Canton. Dr. Susan Carron or Dr. Claire Cullen at Olde Orchard Pediatric Dentristy ###-###-####. They are fabulous in every way!! Hope this helps -- K.

I have two ADHD/ODD/Aspergar boys and I love our dentist. Him and his office really go out of their way to make my guys feel really comfortable for their treatments. The dentist we had before made them both extremely frightened of seeing a dentist and this bothered us immensely, as dental health is very important to our family. They also worked with us on payments, as our insurance is not the greatest.

I'm not sure where you are living or what you are close to but my neices (who are 7) have been seeing Dr. John Santoro. He is an awesome pediatric dentist. He has to offices. One is in Riverview and I'm not sure where the other one is. If you're interested let me know and I can get you the number

I apologize for just now reading this response. However, if you haven't found a pediatric dentist yet for your son try Dr. Amy Parker in Southfield. My children have been going to her since 2000 or 2001 and she's fantastic! Her office staff may be a bit snappy and somewhat annoying at times, by she's terrific and her associates. Another great thing that I enjoy about her is that she gets you in, and out within the hour! Another downfall may be the hours of operation, no Saturdays and the latest is usually 4-5:00 pm. I just wanted to let you know now so that you know beforehand.

My son had staining on his 2 front teeth which turned out to be from him drinking milk every nite in bed. We stopped giving him milk in bed and made sure he brushed before bed. however, it still required a treatment/ cleaning from his dentist. We use Catalpa Dental in Royal Oak Office: ###-###-#### . How often does your son get his teeth cleaned? My daughter was only two when she had her teeth cleaned for the first time. She seems to have a more acidic mouth and makes tarter very easily. It forms as a brown area on her teeth. I actually make her brush her teeth, then I brush them as well. Also the electric toothbrushes help as well.
