Seeking a New Dallas OB/GYN for High Risk ... Any Suggestions?

I recently had an open myomectomy to remove a very large fibroid tumor from my uterus. My husband and I are going to be trying for our first child very soon so I'm looking for an OB/GYN and/or reproductive endo that specializes in high risk in the Grapevine/Dallas area. (We do not expect to have difficulties conceiving, but the pregnancy could be risky as the tumor could grow back.) Any suggestions/referrals to doctors from women who have had a similar experience? Thank you!

What can I do next?

Dr. Mark Godat @ Medical City Dallas... wonderful doctor, high level hospital... I had an amazing experience!!

Dr. Tara Dullye at Presby Dallas is a high risk OBGYN and is amazing! The office # is ###-###-####.

I know exactly what you are going through. I was given low chances of conceiving due to the location of my firoid tumor and every doctor was reluctent to remove it for fear of destroying my uterus. Well I got pregnant despite all of that and Dr. Chad Simmons at Medical City Dallas took amazing care of me. The hospital is first rate and he has alot of experience specifically with this kind of pregnancy and it's complications, which myself and my baby had an abundance of. Give him a call, he's like family now.

Hi H.. I totally understand your concern. I have an amazing doctor/ group and hospital to recommend. My doctor is Clark Griffith of Health Central OB/GYN. They are located at the Margo Perot Building at Presbyterian Dallas. ###-###-####. Jay Stroud is another dr. there that has been voted best OBGYN in Dallas in D Magazine several years. I do not have your specific situation, but I found out I had LUPUS between my 2nd and 3rd child. I experienced 3 miscarraiges before I went to Clark- even though he was highly recommended (because he was married to a personal friend. ewe!!)At Margo Perot, all the OB GYN firms specialize in high risk pregnancies. ALL of the different specialists are at the same location: perinatologist, sonograms, bloodwork. They all get together monthly (from the different practices) and they share their most challenging or newest patient facts. It is amazing how they share information and support one another. Our two sons that were born after I was diagnosed are like miracles to us. so many women are helped every day by these amazing doctors, yet so many women experience unneccesary traumas because there are doctors out there that do not know anything about high risk pregnancies. feel free to use my name as a referral if you go. Best of luck to you! M. H.

I love Dr. Rost and Dr. New at Baylor Grapevine. I had a great experience with the delivery of my daughter this year, and I had a high risk pregnancy. They have neonatologists (Dr. Graham & Payne) that they also use which have offices at Baylor Grapevine. Good luck!

Look up Dr. Erin Koster. I think she is in Plano though. She is wonderful!
