Seeking a Locations for an Outside Wedding and Reception

I am getting married in August of 2009 and looking for a beautiful location to have my wedding and reception that will not cost me a lot of money. I live in the South Suburbs in Dolton IL. It does not have to be in Dolton.

What can I do next?

Congratulations on the upcoming nuptials. House of Lynwood banquet hall is nice and not very expensive. It's right off Torrence Rd. Have you considered the Main fieldhouse in Dolton. You can get a residence discount and it has a full kitchen in it. You have to be a little creative for seating to allow room for dancing if you want that but it's a nice place. I live in Dolton and my son's daycare had their graduation there and it was nice. This is the one on Evers St. right behind Franklin School off of Chicago Rd. Good Luck!

I second the Chateau Bu'Sche. It's in Alsip on 115th & Cicero. I got married there last August.
We only had our reception there not the ceremony.
That's only because we wanted to get married in a church.
The outside grounds are beautiful. They have a gazebo and the scenery is breathtaking and great for photographs.

The food is great and reasonable. We chose Family Style. People still talk about the food.

If you haven't already you may want to check out Theknot.com
There is a local message board.

Congratulation L.,

Another option is the Marie Irwin Community Center in downtown Homewood off of Ridge Rd. You can actually go online to see the facility. The outside of the facility actually looks like a banquet hall and there is a big white Gazebo outside that can be decorated beautifully if you want an outside wedding. In addition you can have the entire inside facility rented for about $500, they will supply the round table and chairs you would need to decorate and supply table cloths. You can also rent the dance floor from them, they will put the wooden floor down over the carpeted area. I had my reception there and my sister had her bridal shower there. It will hold about 200 guests, a full kitchen and you of course would have to provide the food. I know a great cater who is reasonable.

Hi L.--Congrat's! I'd check out Lake Katherine in Palos. We attended a friends wedding there and it was very nice and she said it was very reasonable. Hope this helps:)

South Shore Cultural Center. They are inexpensive and they are GREAT! It used to be the South Shore Country Club until the Chicago Park district picked it up. i went to a wedding there and it looks high end. Take a look PLEASE!!

Chateaux Bu She (spelling?) is up cicero near Alsip. It is beautiful and that is what they do Weddings! His cousin had hers there and it was amazing. Some of the outdoor gazeboes look like something out of a European Villa. It is expensive i have heard but if you are looking for beauty it defiantly has it all!!!

We went to a wedding at CD&ME in Frankfort (I believe) last July. It was beautiful. The ceremony was outdoors and the reception indoors, but the BIG doors were all open. It was a perfect spot for a wedding and the food was really good! Good luck and congratulations!
