Seeking a Good Pediatrician in Tucson, Az

We recently moved to tucson and have not been able to find a good pediatrician...I took my 13 mo for his 1 yo well check to a pediatrician close to home, and we were not that satisfied...I am looking for an office that has nothing but pediatrics... The office we took our son to was combined with internal medicine and ob/gyn... The office was not "kid friendly", the office staff were not geared towards pediatrics, and they physician didn't really listen to my concerns or questions and he spent a WHOLE 5 mins examining my son! Any recommendations will be greatly appreciated... Thank You

What can I do next?

Hi A.! We have a 5 month old, and we see Dr Sachrison. She is on the north side of Tucson, and I absolutely recommend her! She is with a group of pediatricians, but I have only seen her every time we have gone in. She came very highly recommended to me by 2 of my friends. There are several reasons why I like her (besides the fact that she is so knowledgable): She takes her time to get to know your child and makes sure they are completely comfortable. She is fairly young and has a 4 year old of her own...so she can relate to you as a woman close to you in age as well as a mother. The office and office staff are sooo kid friendly and extremely nice. We interviewed her when I was pregnant and she was happy to answer any questions and address any concerns I had. I think it's a great idea to interview any possible docs. I know this is an important decision, so good luck to you, and congrats on your 2nd baby!

I have 3 boys and have been taking my two youngest to Oro Valley Pediatrics since they were born. I was referred to this office by a friend so before I had baby #2, I went and talked to the doctor, kind of like an interview. She was unavailable to come to the hospital when my son was born however another doctor from the office did come. There are 5-6 pediatricians in the office. We see Dr. Radjeski but have seen all of them at one time and they all are great. Dr. Radjeski spends time with you and your child(ren). The office staff is wonderful. They know you and remember you when you come back in. Even though the office is in Oro Valley and we live in Red Rock I will not change doctors. I will make the drive for a good doctor. I highly recommend this doctor. The phone number is ###-###-####. Good luck.

i don't know what area of town you are in, but i also had been searching. i finally found an excellent one, he's in rita ranch, so if you're on the east side at all, it would be convenient. his name is Dr. Hickie. We saw him and the other doctor in the office and loved them both, they are both very respectful of our choices (we don't immunize), very knowledgeable about various conditions we asked about, and spent a lot of time with us.

Go to Tanque Verde Pediatrics, they are awesome.

I go to UMC North Hills and we have seen 3 of the docs there, Drs. Maria Theodoro, Philip Starceski and Dr. Moher. Our primary ped is Dr. Theodorou, but we also love Dr. "Star". They are always available, have awesome nurses, short waits, they answer all of my questions and are very attentive. Good luck.

I LOVE Catalina Pediatrics. They are on Swan near Camp Lowell. I've been taking my son there since he was born. They also can do same day appointments if your kid is sick, which a lot of offices around here can't do. The # there is ###-###-####

Dr Terry VonDrak on Pima Street
