Seeking a Good Pediatrician in the Charlotte, NC Area

I would like some input on a good pediatrician in the Charlotte, NC area. We just moved here from Ohio.

What can I do next?

My daughter has seem almost all the docs at Arboretum Peds. We wanted to meet them all and then decide on a primary. We have really liked Dr. Dorsey (he is young but very nice). She sees him a lot when she is sick and he helped us through her reflux when she was a new born. But I wanted her primary to be a woman. So most often we request Dr. Sullivan. That also happens to be who my OBGYN uses for her own kids.

I really like our pediatrician, Kerrith Jaeckel at Ballantyne Pediatric Associates. She has 4 kids of her own so she is not uptight about every little thing like my last pediatrician and she can give some practical advice too. I have also met with Dr. Reynolds at the practice and like him as well. A friend of mine sees one of the other pediatricians in the practice and really likes her as well. The nurses are really nice there, too. They are sometimes a little slow so I always make my appointments for early morning or late afternoon. That would be my only complaint about the practice, but I like our doctor enough to stay there.

We go to Ballantyne Pediatrics, Dr. Krista Morris is our doctor and we really like her. Have seen Dr. Jaekel and like her too. Hope this is somewhere near your home!

In what part of Charlotte are you living? North, south, etc. I have a great practice in Matthews, but that could be an hour from you.

Hello Tracy,

I just moved to Charlotte myself. I asked the very same question you asked, and here is the Pediatrician I was told about:

I heard they were very good and they do accept Medicaid.

My daughter also sees Dr. Jaekel at Ballantyne Pediatrics. She is incredible with the kids and leaves no stone unturned!

We just moved here from California in March. I am VERY happy with Kids First. I never wait long, easy to get an appt regardless if its a well check or if one of my children are sick. I don't have any complaints. We see Dr. Samurel (male). They also have a female dr shes nice, too.

I would also have to say Arboretum Pediatrics. All the doctors there are wonderful. My 2 year old has been seeing Dr. Pacico since she was born. She is a wonderful doctor with a fantastic bedside manner. (which means so much)
