Seeking a Good Pediatrician in Lilburn

I have a good pediatrician right now, but he doesn't do bloodwork in his office - I'm always being sent to a lab. I also have to wait an average of an hour and a half ever visit, regardless of my appointment time. The last time I waited 2 and a half hours. There is also no separation for sick and well children in the waiting room. I really like the doctor, but I'm wondering if anyone has a doctor that they love without these other issues?

What can I do next?

Thank you to everyone who replied. I really appreciate it. I will be making some calls after Thanksgiving. Thanks again and have a great holiday!

We live in Lilburn and use Snellville Pediatrics (in the building beside Eastside Medical Center). Here is their information:

I don't ever remember being sent anywhere for bloodwork. Is this for routine visits? I think the only bloodwork my kids have had done is iron test. So I would call and ask first. It is a huge practice so I would think if anyone would do it, they would. They definitely have separate waiting rooms for sick and well kids.

I am not sure if they do blood work there, but I love Dr. John Pitts. He has great bedside manner and they have a separate waiting area for sick and well children. His practice is called Gwinnett Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, and their website is www.gwinnettpeds.com. They are not in Lilburn, but they do have 3 locations in Duluth, Lawrenceville, and Hamilton Mill.

Check out their website. They have a lot of info about their practice and pediatric medicine.

Oh yeah, when I have an appointment, I am usually finished in an hour.

Hi L.,

My son is 9 and 1/2 months and I take him to Snellvillie Pediatrics at EastSide Medical Center off of Ronald Reagan Parkway. My son's doctor is Doctor Fotion and I love him. We have seen other doctors in the practice as well and they all seem to be very knowledgeable, nice, and child friendly. I also have other relatives and friends that take their kids there too and have not heard any complaints from them. The only time that I've really had to wait is if we've had to go in on a Saturday or if we have called for a sick appointment that day but the wait still isn't two hours. Hope this helps!

I love my Pediatrician... Dr. Charlotte Khan. I have been seeing her since my oldest, who is now 7, was born. The nurse practitioners are great also. I have three now and I can say over the years Dr. Khan has become like a friend to us. She is located at Lawrenceville Pediatrics on Hwy 29. I live in Lilburn also and it isn't too much of a drive. Hope that helps.

Hi L.!!!! I go to Bi County Gwinnett Pediatrics, the office is nice, and the doctors are very nice too, the nurses, I really like it there. The phone number is ###-###-####, it's on Five Forks Tkm Rd and Killian HIll Rd.

Hi L.,

Briarcliff Pediatrics (www.BriarcliffPediatrics.com) is the pediatrician i take my daughter to. It's an office with 2 pediatricians (Raymond Deeb and Laura Rich) and they are excellent. I never have to wait longer than 2 minutes when i bring her in. They have same day appointments and separate areas for sick/well kids. I'm not sure if they do bloodwork (my daughter is only 8 months old) but it's worth calling to check. If you need additional info or have more questions, let me know.

I also live in Lilburn but have been taking my 1 year old daughter to a wonderful group of pediatricians in the Perimeter Mall area, the wait is minimal and they have separate area for sick/well children. Their info: Children's Wellness Center ###-###-####. The practice is comprised of 3 female pediatricians (we see Dr. Julie Segal)who are also mothers of young chidren, they do most everything on site. We love them, so the drive is worth it! Good Luck!
