I need to find a new Dr. for my three kiddos. I am looking for one who has an open mind when it comes to vaccinations. I am not totally opposed; however, we are definetly working off of a different vaccination scheduled than what is recommended. So, I need someone who can answer questions without being judgemental and who is willing to work with me. If you know of someone who fits this description and is also in the Spring/Woodlands area I would love to know about them. Thank you so much!

Dr. William Stanley of Humble Pediatric Associates (Texas Children's Pediatric Assoc.) in Kingwood, TX, has worked with us. My youngest son is not up to date (by choice), and Dr. Stanley gives us his opinion and then leaves it up to us. I think he'd work with you, especially if you want to do immunizations but just on a different schedule. He's very nice. Their # is ###-###-####.

Hi Allison-

My children see Dr. Audrey Tamm with Step Pediatrics in The Woodlands. My 6 year old son has autism so when my 7 month old was born I decided to follow an alternative vaccination schedule. Dr. Tamm has provided information from the medical perspective but has never tried to talk me into anything that I was not comfortable with. She has let me dictate the schedule and has not been judgemental or negative about my choices at all. If you are looking for a pediatrician to provide you with an alternative schedule or to create it for you, she probably is not the right doctor for you, but if you know what you want to do she will respect your wishes.

Good Luck,
K.

I know of a great pediatrician, but she's off of the 610 loop (Northwest Houston). Her name is Dr. Kimberly Williams-Watson and her number is ###-###-####. Try making an appointment with her and I'm sure you'll fall in love with her as I have.

She makes the kids feel very comfortable, as well as the parent(s). If it's something you don't understand about vaccinations, she will sit down and explain it to you. If it's something you don't agree with, she won't force any of her medical principles or philosophies on you. She is patient and extremely understanding.

I know it will be a bit of a drive for you, but it won't hurt to try.

A.,
The best Doctor around is Dr. Michelle Bullard. She is part of The Houston Northwest Primary Family Practice and she's located in the new Kelsey Sebold building on FM 1960 near Kuykendahl. The phone # is...###-###-####. I can not tell you the wonderful care my family has received for the last 8 years with her. We have 3 kids. She is extremely open minded - considerate - patient - and has helped me with the shots questions and concerns. Our daughter is not vaccinated for chicken pocks and she supports what we think about it.
Try her - she's the best. Best of luck to you and your family.

I dony know about alternate vaccination schedules but I don know about Dr. Audrey Tamm. She is a wonderful non judgemental doctor. My youngest child was born with a severe birth defect. She had never had a patient like him before so she went out of her way to learn about it and get extra training. She helped us through each surgery and was just plain sweet to both me and my child.

I would at least go talk with her.

I use Dr. Susan O'Neil and she is wonderful. Dr. Sue Parkerson is in the same office and they are both very flexible. We have seen both of them with no issues. My youngest two are not vaccinated and are my healthiest children. They never get sick. The other doctor in their office is Dr. Nix and we have had issues with him. He is very stearn about vaccines. We just don't see him. Dr. O'Neil and Parkerson are both women and I love them. I am also a L&D nurse and see most of the peds in the area. There are some great doctors in the area. You should have no problem. I have seen the posts about Dr. Tamm and she is a great doctor also.
