Seeking a [Compassionate] Groomer in the Smyrna/Vinings/Marietta Area

I am looking for a GENTLE person to groom my sweet, well-mannered Shih Tzu. The last time I took him to be groomed, he acted frightend and ran from me for three days afterward. He has never done this before but my regular groomer moved and someone in the same shop groomed him. He now fights me when I was his face now (which he never did before). Any suggestions??

What can I do next?

I'd suggest a mobile dog groomer. They groom them right a tyour location (in their van though so no mess at your place) but this way they're not kenneled at any point and not around a bunch of unfamiliar dogs and faces.

J.,
i also have a Shih-Tzu and i have been taking her to Petsmart on Cumberland for about 2 years now and i have't have any problems. They do a great job and my dog does not seem to be traumatized at all. so give them a try and see if there is a difference in the behavior.

I have two Yorkies and they go to Sprayberry groom shop. It is in the bottom of Sprayberry animal hospital. The lady that grooms is very quite sweet and gentle, we love her. She is on post oak tritt rd.

The best groomer I have ever used is the Regal Beagle in West Cobb. More info at http://www.theregalbeagle.net or ###-###-####. Jen is the owner and wonderful. I take my three mini Schnauzer's there. It's well worth the drive.
